NOROL-IN O. SABACAN BEED-GENERALIST/2ND YEAR

WEEK 1

INTRODUCTION OF HOME ECONOMICS

Nowadays, it is critical to learn some fundamental home economics skills.

Although some may argue that a subject solely dedicated to these issues is
required, simply having a class dedicated to these issues is exactly what we
need in school. Home economics classes were not introduced until the
twentieth century.

In week 1, I discovered that Catherine Beecher had a significant impact on

home economics.she taught students needing training in various areas as
they grow from childhood to adulthood, and one of the best environments to
learn or train in is the school. these lessons is very important for children to
become more responsible and aware of how to care for themselves as adults,
rather than relying on their parents for basic needs.
WEEK 2-3

INTRODUCTION TO EPP

(EPP) It is a primary subject that teaches family management abilities as well

as agricultural and industrial arts productivity skills. The goal of this subject is
to teach us basic and primary skills that we will need in our daily lives, such as
managing our houses and enjoying handwork such as agriculture and
handcrafts in preparation for future jobs.

Home Economics, Agriculture, Information and Communication Technology

(ICT) and Entrepreneurship, and Industrial Arts are the four learning areas of
WEEK 4

In week 4 of the National Health Week, I learned about taking care of myself
and others. This includes washing our hands before eating and having a bath
every day as well as cleaning things you touch if you're sick. In the times of I
became a teacher in the future, I will remind them always the importance of it
to our life.
WEEK 5

CARE FOR THE FAMILY

Family means having someone to love you unconditionally in spite of you and
your shortcomings. Family is loving and supporting one another even when
it's not easy to do so. It's being the best person you could be so that you may
inspire your love ones. ... Family is unrelenting, it's secure and reliable.

There are five kinds of family: nuclear, companionship, extended, joint, single
parent, reconstituted and sibling family. I'm glad to have this kind of topic to
learn because I've learned how to appreciate more my family even sometimes
we have misunderstandings.

WEEK 7

FOOD PRESERVATION METHODS, CAUSES, AND

IMPORTANCE

In week 7, the importance of food preservation and methods are highlighted.

Drying, curing, pickling, lye, canning, freezing, boiling, heating, sugaring,
jellying, jugging, burying, confit, and fermentation are some of the food
preservation methods I studied about in this class.Food preservation is
essential because it keeps food from deteriorating and maintains food quality.
Its purpose is to extend the products shelf life
WEEK 8

UTENSILS, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT IN PRESERVING AND

PROCESSING FOOD

In week 8, I learnt that food preservation necessitates the use of specific

utensils, techniques, and equipment during the preservation process. Food
preservation requires certain equipment, and it is not permissible to use
equipment that is not fit for the job.

Utensils are tools that serve a useful purpose, and equipment is a collection of
materials provided for a certain purpose. This topic made me aware of and
knowledgeable about the many utensils, tools, and equipment used in food
preservation and processing.
WEEK 9

APPROPRIATE FOOD ITEMS

The topic of acceptable food items in week 9 showed me that choosing the
proper foods is the key to getting great results in food preservation and
processing. The nature and attributes of high-quality foods such as fruits,
vegetables, meat, and fish must be understood

In addition, I discovered that the characteristics of food products used in the

preservation process have an impact on the finished product's taste,
appearance, and flavor if we choose the correct fruits and vegetables, fish,
shellfish, and meat. A great product is produced by using high-quality
ingredients.
WEEK 10

FARM TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT IN AGRICULTURAL CROP

PRODUCTION

In agricultural crop production, I've learned about many farm tools and
equipment. Furthermore, this topic made me appreciate and feel proud of all
farmers. Their labor is not simple; they work in the sun every day, yet they
continue to do a fantastic job only to keep the people fed.

Their labor is not simple; they work in the sun every day, yet they continue to
do a fantastic job only to keep the people fed. I understand that this issue is
about agricultural crop production tools and equipment, yet it made me think
about the sacrifices that all farmers make.
WEEK 11

SYSTEMATIC WAY OF PLANTING AND PROPAGATING TREES

This course will show you how to grow and propagate trees in a methodical
fashion, which is very important to know nowadays. We are currently facing
flooding as a result of only a little rain, and we all know that the main reason
of this is tree cutting, and many people are unaware of how to value a single
type of tree.

In this topic, I discovered that there are three main sorts of planting systems:
triangular or hexagonal, square or rectangular, and quincunx. This issue also
taught me that good plant or tree maintenance is within our control.
WEEK 12

APPROPRIATE SAFETY MEASURES WHILE WORKING IN

FARM

In week 12, the farm is discussed in terms of hazard, risk, and exposure.
While working on a farm can be detrimental to our health, I learnt that there
are appropriate safety precautions to consider and follow in this issue. To be
safe, we must follow this safety precaution. There are numerous dangers on
the farm. Farmers who are unaware of these concerns risk bodily harm,
illness, and even death

The farmer should always take proper safety precautions while working on the
farm. Furthermore, I learned from this topic that, even though I am not a
farmer, I should have a basic understanding of the safety precautions to take
when working on a farm.
WEEK 13

CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR OF SIMPLE ELECTRICAL

GADGETS

It discusses the maintenance of simple electrical equipment in week 13. As a

result of this lesson, I now comprehend the differences between conductors
and non-conductors. Conductors, which are materials used in the building of
electrical devices, allow electrons to travel through.

An example would be electrical wire. On the other hand, nonconductors are

materials or components in an assembly that hinder electron flow.
Our teacher assigned us an activity to make a lampshade out of recycled
items this week. I feel proud of myself after completing the project, and I
understand the power of recycled materials and how they contribute to
pollution reduction.
WEEK 14

RECYCLING BASICS

The necessity of recycling was covered in week 14. It taught me that, in

today's climate, recycling is critical if we are to leave this world to future
generations. It's great for the environment because we're repurposing
obsolete products that are no longer usable.

This week, our instructor also gave us an exercise that made me creative
because we had to build additional things that may be useful merely by using
recycled materials. This project resulted in the creation of a pen or pencil
organizer. This organizer helped me the most since it organized my pens
once I built i
WEEK 15

PROJECT PLAN

It teaches me how to develop a project plan this week because our teacher
required us to produce one in accordance with the lampshade and pen and
pencil organizer. When creating a project plan, there is a specific procedure
that must be followed in order for the plan to be accurate and dependable
