KARMA SCHEME
The objective of KARMA is to create skilled and certified workforce, who not only
contribute towards the growth of India but also drive the country into becoming the global skills
capital to fulfill the dream of our Honorable prime minister of India, Shri.NarendraModi. This
program is an initiative taken by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Objectives & Functionality:


 Strategically planning skill initiatives to create skilled and certified workforce
 Making the best use of available infrastructure of higher education system
 Skill training by re-aligning the existing infrastructure for  the skill courses specially, training
aids, syllabus, curriculum,  etc, as per the NSQF-aligned  qualifications
 All the students of institution are eligible for the course offered
 The  training shall be any domain-specific demand-led skill training activity  preferably in
core engineering sectors leading to employment  or self-employment
 All the students are motivated to undertake at least a course in semester

Swachh Bharat
The Principal, Staff and the Students of ULTRA College of Engineering and Technology cleaning
up the college premises accepting the call from the Hon. Prime Minister of India.

 India has been celebrating the 152 nd birth anniversary of the father of our nation- Mahatma
Gandhi and every citizen of our country has paid tribute to him by carrying out various
cleanliness drives.

 The aim of this great leader was to make a clean and prosperous India. For fulfilling
Gandhiji’s dream, ULTRA College of Engineering and Technologyorganized Swachh Bharat
Abhiyan.

 The whole day was dedicated to cleanliness drives followed by various events. All the
students as well as faculty members from every department of ULTRA College of
Engineering and Technology participated in these events to make it a huge success.

 The event started in the Auditorium by a short message from the Dr. KR. Ramela (Principal)
on various facts related to environment degradation after which a very informative
presentation was given by Dr.D.Jayasri, Professor &Dean.

 After that all the students as well as faculty members took ‘Swachhta Pledge’ headed by

Dr. J. SivaSankari (Coordinator). A concluding remark was given by Dr. N. Nagaprasad,


Assistant Professor/Mech of ULTRA College of Engineering and Technology.

 After that the cleanliness drive was held in the whole campus of the college where all the
students as well as faculty members actively participated and every nook and corner of the
campus was cleaned using brooms and waste was collected and dumped after segregation in
bins.

 A march past-‘Rally’ was also conducted in which students marched on the streets in nearby
places of the college holding posters of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and other quotations like-
‘Say No to Plastic Waste’ written on it. Various slogans were also raised by the students in
order to make the people aware of the threats to environment and actions to be taken
accordingly and say goodbye to single use plastic.

 A wall painting competition based on the theme “Swachh Bharat” was also organised where
many teams from B.Tech and B.E participated and excellent wall paintings were done by the
participating teams.
 At the end of the day all the events were very successful and the prime objective of making
the students and general public aware about various environmental threats and ways to
combat such problems as well as maintaining personal hygiene and keeping the surroundings
clean was fulfilled. All the core team members of this scheme are heartily congratulated for
the success of the event!!!

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR GIRL STUDENTS (DEGREE). The eligible students can

apply the scholarship and get benefits of the scheme.
