Bambike

Bambike is a social enterprise that

sells hand-made bamboo bicycles, that is located at Intramuros, Manila. They are in partnership
of Gawad Kalinga, that aims to address the poverty of the county. The bambike aims to to make
a greenest bike on the planet. The one who made the bike is called bambuilders, that are locally
hired villagers. Those bambuilders are former doing a menial jobs in far places. Now, they are
working in the development of their local community. The bambike mission is to help the
environment, development of employment and skills training, to lower poverty rate.

Bayani Brew

Bayani Brew is part of Gawad kalinga’s Echanted Farm in Angat, Bulacan. Bayani Brew
aims to reduce poverty, it provides housing and livelihoods in a certain area. Their products are
iced tea made from locally grown ingredients. The sources of their ingredients are the oraganic
farmer communities. Its beneficiaries includes Doña Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan, Goodfood
community in Tarlac, and other farmers in the surrounding barangays.
Taclob

Taclob manufactories are

environmental friendly and weather resistant backpacks made from recycled materials such as
jeans and high-grade Japanese tarpaulins called Compassion. Taclob givies courage backpacks to
the students affected by hurricane in the Philippines. There is a special features the backpack has
not only to protect the books and school supplies but also function as floatation. The workers
manufactured the bags are those people who are affected by the hurricane. The profits of the
taclob backpacks are spent in workshop in disaster preparedness of the communities.
