Fernando Daniel Rodrigues Almeida (born 11 May 1996), known professionally as


Fernando Daniel is a Portuguese singer-songwriter. He won the fourth edition of The Voice
Portugal in 2016.

== Career ==

=== 2014: Factor X ===


He first appeared in the musical industry in 2014, on the Portuguese TV show Factor X,
which is the Portuguese version of the worldwide known music show The X Factor. He
auditioned on the second edition, alone, and was finally eliminated in the piano phase.
However, the judges liked his voice and decided join him together with Luana Ribeiro,
another contestant who was eliminated at the piano phase. Together, they formed the group
BABEL, which finally ended 4th place overall at the show.

=== 2016: The Voice Portugal ===


Later, in 2016, he appeared on the 4th season of The Voice Portugal to try his luck again. His
audition was a huge success worldwide and in the country, beating the record of the most
watched audition of The Voice. With the favoritism on his hand, he went on to win the show
in December, receiving the majority of the public votes.

=== 2017: Festival da Cançã o and first original single ===


In 2017, he was invited by the Portuguese composer Henrique Feist to sing his song "Poema
a Dois" in Festival da Cançã o and try to represent Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest
2017.

Shades is a piece of instrumental music composition performed by "The United Kingdom


Symphony Orchestra", which was used in the UK as the theme music to the Crown Paints TV
commercial advertisement in 1985. The musical composition made the UK Singles Chart,
where it stayed for four weeks, peaking at number 68. The record label was "Food for
Thought Records Limited".
The orchestra was conducted by Donald Gould. The record single was produced by
songwriter and record producer David Mindel and François Trichot (the latter of whom also
wrote and produced the B-side, titled 'Double Meaning').
The TV commercial starts with orchestra members walking in one by one dressed in
coloured suits that reflect the colours by Crown Paints at the time called "Shades". As the TV
advert progresses, the orchestra members start to play the music theme "Shades" and by
the end, the whole orchestra is playing to conclusion.

Galianora bryicola

Galianora bryicola is a species of jumping spider (family Salticidae) from Ecuador.Males are
about 4 mm long, adult females are not yet known. This species is brown with a generalized
salticid body form. The carapace is brown to black with a pale central longitudinal stripe on
the thorax. The back of the abdomen is medium brown with indistinct speckling, the
underside is black.One male was collected on a tree trunk, several juveniles were collected
by beating moss-covered branches and tree trunks in the understorey of lowland rainforest.

== Name ==
The species name refers to the habitat of mossy tree trunks: bryicola means "dwelling on
moss".
