What is the importance of technology in teaching and learning?

It's crucial to talk about the value of technology, not just in the classroom, but in terms of how we deal
with this generation. The expansion of innovation into the classroom setting can help to transform the
classroom experience from one centered on exemplary educators to one centered on instructive, with
students taking a more active role in their learning. Technology clearly provides teachers and (us)
students with access to a wide range of educational resources that encourage creativity, critical
thinking, communication, and collaboration. We're all aware that there have been and will continue to
be a variety of students in our classrooms, some of whom have special adapting needs. With
informative innovation, separate guidance can be made a lot easier. Separated instruction allows
students to receive instruction that is tailored to them – and that meets them formatively where they
are. A larger number of students can benefit from this type of guidance. Students have access to
extremely rich learning materials outside of the classroom that could really help everyone, especially
us as students, who are so well prepared that we could simply say thanks to the use of technology.
ICTs will continue to play an increasingly important role in our lives as they become more integrated.
It will continue to evolve and change because we, as consumers, enjoy having options. We enjoy
utilizing ICT for personal development, creativity, joy, consumption, and wealth.

According to your own understanding, what is the meaning of ICT? How it is

relevant in today’s educational climate where there is a tremendous change on 2.
the teaching-learning modality?

To give a brief, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) includes computers, the Internet,
and electronic delivery systems like radios, televisions, and projectors, among other things, and is
widely used in today's educational field. School is an important environment in which students engage
in a wide range of computer activities, whereas the home serves as a supplement for regular
engagement in a smaller set of computer activities. ICT is increasingly being used successfully in
teaching, learning, and assessment. ICT is regarded as a powerful tool for educational reform and
change. ICT has a tendency to increase educational access. Learning can take place at any time and
in any location thanks to ICT. For example, online course materials can be accessed 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. As a college student at Central Mindanao University, ICTs have the potential to
break down traditional barriers to information sharing, to give traditionally unheard people a voice, and
to provide useful information that improves economic, health, and educational activities. Given its
numerous applications, the importance of information and communication technology (ICT) cannot be
overstated. Education, digital literacy, and resource development; infrastructure development; logistics
management; healthcare; livelihood generation and mass empowerment; e-governance;
administration and finance; specialized business and industrial uses; agricultural uses; research and
development; and economic growth and poverty alleviation are all areas where ICT is useful. I can say
that ICT has had a significant impact on me over the years. It has aided me in all aspects and fields.
We can say that the teaching and learning process has changed as the generation has progressed;
however, nothing is constant; it can change at any time, and it is up to us to act and be responsible in
dealing with innovations. As we can see, information and communication technology (ICT) is very
relevant everywhere.
What do you think are the challenges in integrating ICT in teaching and 3.
Learning?

Even though ICT has the potential to significantly improve a country's education system, this is not the
case in developing countries. Multiple issues and challenges face the implementation of ICT education
in these countries' schools and educational institutions, and the problems are exacerbated in schools
located in remote villages and rural areas. The introduction of ICT in rural schools, in particular, is
hampered by internal and external barriers. The following issues and challenges were identified as
being critical in instructors' use of ICT devices: limited openness and organization association, limited
specialized help, lack of viable preparation, limited time, and educators' skill. To create an ICT-friendly
climate in schools, a few major points of contention or issues should be addressed. The foundation's
goal is to make ICT more accessible. The cost of implementing and utilizing data and communication
innovations (ICTs). Teachers' status, responsibility, and limit setting the use of the internet. When it
comes to correspondence, there are some limits. National borders have been reduced to meaningless
lines drawn on maps as a result of the revolution in information and communication technologies.
Education has been identified as one of the services that must be opened up for free trade between
countries in this scenario. India is transforming into a knowledge economy, and it cannot function
without the help of information and communication technologies. The government and institutions have
been forced to formulate policies to make better use of ICT due to the gap between demand and supply
in education.

How do the ICT policy guidelines, projects, and issues relate to the teaching 4.
and learning in this time of pandemic?

The COVID-19 pandemic is forcing governments around the world to come up with new and innovative
ways to improve teaching and learning. A flood of web-based learning has given people the freedom
to rethink better ways of teaching and learning. However, the central question is: what are the best
ways to go about it? The pandemic has exacerbated the current learning crisis in low- and middle-
income countries in Asia and the Pacific, which will almost certainly result in a loss of lifetime
opportunities and income. Are there any strategy rules, activities, or issues that have been considered
as a time period within this pandemic? Prior to the flare-up, actual access was unquestionably not a
critical contributing factor to the learning crisis; rather, kids were not learning despite the fact that
understudies were simply passing and adapting to the prerequisites; there was no learning by any
stretch of the imagination. Concerns about access, as well as helpless learning, have increased as a
result of the pandemic. Unless there is immediate and significant intervention, fundamental proficiency
and numeracy abilities of the cutting edge in these countries are likely to decline. Following the
progress of students through improved digitization - before, during, and after classes - will help schools
adjust and customize the learning experience for students while they work on their exhibition. This will
necessitate a greater focus on advanced framework (such as rapid web in schools and homes),
content, and instructor readiness to enable live streaming, virtual classes, and vivid adapting anywhere
and at any time.

What is the difference between digital and non-digital instructional

tools? How significant are these tools in delivering technology- 5.
enhanced lessons?
When students maximize guidelines, as shown in their exhibition, teaching becomes remunerative.
The point at which the procedure for delivering the illustrations incorporates educational material
is a significant factor in attracting students. It can enliven a homeroom movement when used
correctly and appropriately. These educational materials could have different structures. Quickly,
when we discussed Digital tools, specifically in a classroom setting, it is a type of showing where
innovations are used such as desktops, ipads, and other types of devices, it is a place where
instructors and students both used gadget tools, while Non-digital devices are likely to characterize
as "visual guides" in which a report or a conversation can be ordered in a manual structure.
Delivering Technology-Enhanced Lessons with Non-Digital and Digital Skills and Tools serves as
a guide for each educator on what to teach and how to teach. What to teach in terms of what non-
computerized or advanced devices will be used for incorrect learning or themes. How can we
demonstrate where and how we can coordinate these after computerized and non-advanced
devices to work with and improve learning? It also provides us with systems for how we can perform
better in the face of a new era in which cutting-edge technology is frequently employed. It brought
back memories of when I was a rudimentary understudy, when some of my educators actually
used and introduced the given non-computerized apparatuses in instructing. With the flip diagram,
lifelike model, composing board, and other non-advanced devices, it allows us to enjoy learning.
Yet, with the progressions in conduct and learning styles of each understudy these days, we can't
deny the reality. Indeed, I am in a class with a PowerPoint presentation, printed materials, and a
variety of other things in which trend-setting innovation is introduced, in short by the method for
incorporating and using computerized apparatuses in instructing. The more little people in
rudimentary, if I am astounded by what computerized instruments bring into the classroom at my
,
age, the more for them in where they are being uncovered in the things that their age is familiar
with. Perhaps it could truly improve adapting in such a way that it couldn't influence the behavior
of each understudy, with proper direction and use at the same time.

What is the difference between digital and non-digital instructional tools? How significant are these 6.
tools in delivering technology-enhanced lessons?
Education is progressing faster than at any other time in recent history. Educators and families are
becoming increasingly aware that today's curriculum must evolve to meet the realities of tomorrow.
As a future teacher and the hope of the society, I will see myself teaching in a classroom with high
effective technology as a medium for discussion, I will teach as how advance our world it is, Beyond
tools and technology, I can develop new skills to solve tough problems, collaborate effectively, and
express ideas in new ways. Teachers have enormous influence on the lives of students, and I
decided to be a teacher who provides an enjoyable educational experience for my students by
teaching on the level of how technology is being innovated. As an on-the-go person, I believe that
the atmosphere in the classroom that I will be teaching will be quite memorable, but I should be
able to negotiate the level of difficulty. I see myself opening up to my students, being able to have
a friendly conversation with them and rationally possessing knowledge in terms of ICT and how
their world revolves in every way. As a result, when I became a teacher, I wanted to be able to
rationalize everything that I did and everything that I thought to them; I wanted to emphasize the
importance of what they were going to learn so that they could value the knowledge through the
use of technology in the classroom to emphasize how our class was progressing; and, despite
being an English teacher, I wanted to be a teacher that my students could relate to and still consider
students who are still coping with technology to be students who are still coping with technologyso
that my students can seek advice from me and become good citizens in society I also aspired to
be a teacher who transforms my students' mindsets through social media and other online
platforms, so that they can set a good example not only for society but also for themselves. We
could use scanning apps or learning applications in every report or discussion so that they can
easily see the topics. We could also use other ways of discussing, such as blogs, and for
attendance, we could definitely use QR codes or eye scanners or whatever technology brings to
us in the future. It is my hope that I will be able to achieve enough to make a difference not only in
the lives of the students in my class at the time, but also in the impact of our lives far into the future,
and to help make our country's future a better place.
