Are We In The Cave?

Task 1: Two necessary conditions are bread and tuna. A sufficient condition
would be a tuna melt.

Task 2: Beyond what we attribute names/ideas to, is a perfect form of that thing,
which can often be very difficult to imagine or recognize the existence of said
form. The perspective of those who deny the reality of these forms makes them
ignorant and they resent those who perceive glimpses behind the curtain. This
idea has religious implications (forms come from a divine mind), and
philosophical ones, such as questioning where our knowledge comes from.

Task 3: From the book (281): “Plato maintained that sense experience alone
could not be the source of kno\vledge”. A filtered image would be like a puppet
for the prisoners, an illusion that tricks our fallible senses. Additionally, the picture
would be a lesser form in the second degree, as a shadow is lower than the true
3-dimensional object that created it, which is lower than a perfect form, while the
filtered Instagram picture is like a puppet, which produces a shadow that doesn’t
even represent a true 3-dimensional object, let alone a perfect form.

Task 4: One sufficient condition for knowledge is 2+2 = 4. Furthermore, for

propositional knowledge, the 3 key necessary and sufficient conditions are: I. you
must believe it, 2. it must be true, and 3. you must have good reason to believe it.
