Write a comment about the question:

“The Inuit or the polar bears: who needs more protection?”

1. What is your opinion? Which of the following statements do you agree with?
▪ The Inuit need more protection.

2. Find arguments and counterarguments for your position and collect them in a grid. Also
refer to what you have learned in the two texts on pp.42/43 in your textbooks.

3. Write an introductory sentence for your comment which wakens the reader‘s interest and
makes him/her want to read on.
4. Write the main body of your argumentative text by using the most important arguments you
collected in the grid.
