c. Apply contemporary financial accounting standards to prepare financial statements in accordance financial
accounting standards

Assessment 10 – Practial Exercise (Case Study) (Individual)

Details:

Business reports are practical learning tasks where students apply their knowledge of corporate accounting
regulations and reporting to analyse a company annual report.
The students are required to select a topic (from the list given below) and analyse a company annual report against
this topic by collecting information (Primary and/or secondary), and prepare a report.
You need to demonstrate following competencies related to the topic:
1. An understanding of the concepts and theoretical frameworks
2. Explain the purpose, content, format and practical applications of the requirements pertaining to the topic
3. Analyse and interpret issues relating to the topic
4. Develop and critically analyse the contextual and theoretical aspects of the topic given

Format of the Report:

1. You at least should have the following details:

a. Assignment Cover page clearly stating your name and student number

b. A table of contents, executive summary

c. A brief introduction or overview of what the report is about.

d. Body of the report with appropriate section headings
