Q. PANEL STRENGTH

The Panels used for the external cladding must with stand the wind load. This wind load will cause deflection of the
panels and if the deflection is small the panel will not deform. The permanent deformation of the panel is calculated by
0.2% yield stress divided by the safety factor. In the calculation we are assuming that the total strength of the panel is the
strength of the Aluminum skins. If the calculated 2% proof stress is greater than the permissible, normally the panel is
strengthened by giving additional stiffeners. The other factors affecting the strength of the panel are:

1. Panel thickness, width and length

2. Supporting conditions.
3. Wind load

We are using the Aluminum alloy 3003-H14 for our ACP/PE and FR skins 2% proof stress is 152 MPa and suitable
where the wind speed is 50m/sec. The air infiltration of Q-NAP panels in standard fixing is ≤ 0.3 L/s Per sq.m at 75 Pa
Pressure As per ASTM – E 283 and water penetration test passed according to ASTM E 331 at a minimum differential
pressure of 10 percent of inward acting, wind-load design pressure of not less than 300 Pa

R. JOINING HOLES / BOLTS &NUTS

In the installation work other important factors are the strength of the joining holes and the rivets. Normally the
distance from the hole center to the panel edge should be 2 times larger than hole diameter. And to prevent the galvanic
corrosion of the panels use only Aluminum or stainless-steel rivets, bolts nuts etc. if we are using dissimilar metals lay a
coating to prevent the galvanic corrosion.

S. STRENGTH OF SUBSTRUCTURE

The sub structure where we are installing the panels, should take care the wind load and the panels. The strength of the
substructure depends on the material and section of the structure, anchoring intervals of sub structure and wind
pressure. The maximum deflection on the sub structure must be smaller than the 0.5% of supporting intervals.

T. RESISTANCE TO NATURAL FORCES

a) Lightning

If a lightning strike, the ACP/FR panel the electricity will be discharged to the earth through the substructure. Since the
panel is connected to the earth through the sub structure.

U. PRODUCT WARRANTY

AL DANA BOND
B1 SERIES
15

FIRE RATED ACP AND ITS APPLICATION:

When we speak about Fire rated Aluminium composite panels (ACP's) we can really narrow it down to
four core materials. B1 fire resistance panels, A2 non-combustible panel, Alucore or honey comb core
panel and pure aluminium sheet.

B1 FIRE RESISTANT CORE:

Contains 55% – 70% flame retardant, the main ingredients are aluminium oxide (Al₂O₃) and magnesium
oxide (MgO); it is important to note that the term “FR” be it “fire resistant”, “fire retardant”, “Plus” or any
other variation on the wording, meets no set standard. It is therefore imperative to check with your
supplier what the mixture of combustible content is on a product specific basis, as this may also vary.

B1 fire resistance aluminium composite panel - B1 refers to the classification the material can achieve in
accordance to the fire regulation acts consistent to that countries requirements.

These requirements are measured in minuets, the reason been is so that we can see how long the material
will last under duress from a fire providing time for evacuation and firefighting professionals to fight the
fire and hopefully save valuable property.

When B1 grade panels are put into a fire, it will catch fire after 5 minutes from been exposed to flame, the
fire will extinguish after 10 seconds once the fire leave the panels.

ALDANA Bl Fire resistance aluminum composite panel is composed by aluminum and a non-
combustible PE core. The product is in high demand due to the increasing importance placed on
architectural requests for safe, non-toxic and green materials. panels also possess excellent flame retardant
and low smoke emission properties. It provides architecture a good solution of fire resistance whatever
your project is public buildings, official buildings, car showroom, supermarket, industrial buildings.
16

THE LEVEL AND COM BUSTI ON PROPERTIES OF NAMES :

CHARACTERISTICS:

 Excellent Fire Resistance, Hardly Flammable

 Excellent Sound, Heat Insulation
 Superior Impact And Peek Strength
 Excellent Surface Flatness And Smoothness
 Light Weight And Easy To Maintain
17

AL DANA BOND
A2 SERIES
18

A2 GRADE FIREPROOF ALUMINIUM COMPOSITE PANEL:

Contains 88% – 90% of the flame retardant, the main ingredients are aluminium hydroxide (Al(OH)3)
and magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2)

A2 Aluminium core panels refers to the class of fire rating it will achieve, non-combustible. this mean in
the event of a fire the panels will not ignite or provide the flame with fuel to spread the fire. A2 panels will
not release toxic fumes in the event of a fire as smoke inhalation is the largest killing factor in fire hazards

A2 panels can achieve a 30-minute fire rating on their own and require a citified fire safe sub-frame
system on multi story buildings from the thirds floor upwards as a 60 - 120 minuet fire rating is required.
Some citified sub-frame systems can assist this panel in achieving a three-hour fire rating

The technology in A2 panels is incomparable to other materials as the materials undergoes a chemical
reaction when encountered with heat called Endothermic and exothermic reactions.

This means when the panel is subjected to heat, a chemical reaction takes place when magnesium
hydroxide reaches 330 Degrees Celsius releasing water which enhances the flame-retardant properties of
the A2 panel.

Magnesium Hydroxide during the burning reaction forms a “Char-Ash” in front of the flame, which
suppresses the flame and because of its acid scavenging properties, can play a useful role in hydrogenated
compounds by reducing acid gas emissions in toxic smoke.

In short A2 panels not only fight the fire and resist the spread of flame and smoke but also plays a role
cleaning impurities in the toxic smoke.

An A2 panel would only catch fire after 30 minutes, the fire will then extinguish immediately when the fire
leave the panel. This panel is suitable for both internal and external applications as its deemed to satisfy
and is qualified as a non-combustible material.
19

LIGHTNESS AND RIGIDITY:

The composite structure of ALDANA A2 results in an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, even

when comparing large panel sizes. Despite its low weight, which makes ALDANA A2 easy to
transport and handle in the factory and on site, its rigidity and high strength make the panels
keep their shape and remain flat, even when exposed to extreme temperature changes.

FIRE CLASSIFICATION:
20

COMPARISON OF THICKNESS AND WEIGHT OF PANELS WITH EQUAL RIGIDITY:

LIGHTNESS AND RIGIDITY:

ALDANA Fire Resistant Aluminum Composite Panel reaches A2-s1, do, to grade according to
the national standard GB 8624-2006, with non-combustible inorganic core material, which will
not get fire and then resist fire spread while a building gets fire.

QU A L I T Y AS S U R A N C E

We firmly believe that the success of business depends on providing high quality products
and services to all valued customers through efforts of its team members. Quality
Management is practiced from the top management to the lower most position in the
product realization process.

Quality is ensured at every stage right from the input materials to the finished product. The
four stages of quality assurance are as below:

 Pre-production Quality Assurance

 In-process Control
 Post Production Quality Assurance
 Pre-dispatch Quality Assurance
1

Pre-Production Quality Assurance:

All received materials are inspected thoroughly before issuing to production. Each raw
material has ‘Quality Plan' specifying quality parameters against which the received lot is
tested and inspected.

In-process Control:
At each stage of production, quality is ensured by vigorous process control checks. All quality
parameters are checked and recorded during each production run by our experienced
quality controllers to ensure production of high-quality product.

Post Production Quality Assurance:

At the end of production run, final inspection is done to ensure that all quality checks are
done during the process. Traceability of the product is also ensured through ‘Batch Code'
System, in which a unique Batch Code is printed on each ACP sheet which traces back to all
input materials used in a production batch

Pre-dispatch Inspection:

At last, before each dispatch from our factory, pre-dispatch inspection is done to ensure that
the customer will always get a high-quality product.

INSPECTION SYSTEM

ALDANA has established a complete physics and chemistry lab. According to the
requirement of the client, the lab is able to make precise tests and certification for various
performance targets of the product.

The required glossiness, boiling water resistance, and resistance to change of temperature
can be ensured by the physical performance test. required coating thickness, pencil hardness,
grinding resistance, and soil resistance can be ensured by the coating performance test. The
bending strength, and impact strength can be analyzed by the mechanical property test. The
acid resistance, alkali resistance, oil resistance, and salt-spray resistance can be analyzed by
the corrosive resistance property test. The adhesion performance of the paint can be
analyzed by the solvent resistance performance test. Such tests ensure that the various
performance targets of the Sunshine aluminum panels reach the requirements of industrial
standards.

Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water or saline for at least 15 minutes. Consult a physician.

Skin: Wash skin with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Consult a physician if irritation persists.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If unconscious or severely injured, check for clear airway, breathing and presence of pulse. Perform CPR
if there is no pulse or respiration. Consult a physician.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Flammable Properties

This Product does not present fire or explosion hazards as shipped. Small chips, turnings, dust and fines from processing may be readily
ignitable.

Fire / Explosion
May be a potential hazard under the following conditions:

- Dust or fines dispersed in the air can be explosive. Even a minor dust cloud can explode violently.
- Chips, dust or fines in contact with water can generate flammable / explosive hydrogen gas. Hydrogen gas could present an
explosion hazard in confined or poorly ventilated spaces.

- Dust or fines in contact with certain metal oxides (e.g., rust). A thermite reaction, with considerable heat generation, can be
initiated by a week ignition source.

- Molten metal in contact with water / moisture or other metal oxides (e.g., rust). Moisture entrapped by molten metal can be
explosive. Contact of molten aluminum with other metal oxides can initiate a thermite reaction.

Extinguishing Media
Use Class D extinguishing agents on dusts, fines or molten metal. Use coarse water spray on chips and turnings. DO NOT USE:
Halogenated agents on small chips, dusts or fines. Water around molten metal.

Fire Fighting Equipment / Instructions

Fire fighters should wear NIOSH approved, positive pressure, self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing when
appropriate.
9

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Small / Large Spill

Collect scrap for recycling. If molten: Contain the flow using dry sand or salt flux as a dam. Do not use shovels or hand tools to halt the
flow of molten aluminium. Allow the spill to cool before re-melting as scrap.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling / Storage

Avoid generating dust. Avoid contact with sharp edges or heated metal. Hot and cold aluminium are not visually different.

Requirements for Processes Which Generate Dusts or Fumes

If processing of these products includes operations where dust or extremely fine particulate is generated. Cover and reseal partially empty
containers. Use non-sparking handling equipment. Provide grounding and bonding where necessary to prevent accumulation of static
charges during dust handling and transfer operations.

Local ventilation and vacuum systems must be designed to handle explosive dusts. Dry vacuums and electrostatic precipitators must not
be used. Dust collection systems must be dedicated to aluminium dust only and should be clearly labelled as such. Do not co-mingle fines
of aluminium with fines of iron, iron oxide (rust) or other metal oxides.

Do not allow chips, fines or dust to contact water, particularly in enclosed areas.

Avoid all ignition sources. Good housekeeping practices must be maintained.

Requirements for Re-melting of Scrap Material and /or Ingot
Molten metal and water can be an explosive combination. The risk is greatest when there is sufficient molten metal to entrap or seal off the
water. Water and other forms of contamination on or contained in scrap or re-melt ingot are known to have caused explosions in melting
operations. While the products may have minimal surface roughness and internal voids, there remains the possibility of moisture
contamination or entrapment. If confined, even a few drops of water can lead to violent explosions.

All tooling and containers which come in contact with molten metal must be preheated or specially coated and rust free. Moulds and
ladles must be preheated or oiled prior to casting. Any surfaces that may contact molten metal (e.g., concrete) should be specially coated.

Drops of molten metal in water (e.g. from plasma arc cutting), while not normally an explosion hazard; can generate enough flammable
hydrogen gas to present an explosion hazard. Vigorous circulation of the water and removal of the particles minimize the hazards.

During melting operations, the following minimum guidelines should be observed:

- Inspect all materials prior to furnace charging and completely remove surface contamination such as water, ice, snow, deposits of
grease and oil or other surface contamination resulting from weather exposure, shipment, or storage.
- Store materials in dry, heated areas with any cracks or cavities pointed downwards.
Preheat and dry large or heavy items such as ingot adequately before charging into a furnace containing molten metal. This is typically
done by use of a drying oven or homogenizing furnace. The drying cycle should bring the internal metal temperature of the coldest item of
the batch to 400 and then hold at that temperature for 6 hours
10

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

Engineering Controls
Use with adequate explosion-proof ventilation to meet the limits listed in Section VIII, exposure Guidelines.

Personal Protective Equipment Respiratory Protection

Use NIOSH-approved respiratory protection as specified by an Industrial Hygienist or other qualified professional if concentrations
exceed the limits listed is Section 8, Exposure Guidelines.

Eye Protection
Wear safety glasses/goggles to avoid eye contact.

Skin Protection
Wear appropriate gloves to avoid any skin injury.

General
Sampling to establish lead exposures is advised where exposures to airborne particulate or flumes are possible.

Personnel who handle and work with molten metal should utilize primary protective clothing like face shields, fire resistant topper’s
jackets, leggings, spats and similar equipment to prevent burn injuries. In addition to primary protection, secondary or day-to-day work
clothing that is fire resistant and sheds metal splash is recommended for use with molten metal.

11

Conditions to Avoid: Chips, fines dust and molten metal are considerably more reactive with the following:
- Water: Slowly generates flammable / explosive n hydrogen gas and heat. Generation rate is greatly increased with
smaller particles (e.g., fines and dusts). Molten metal can react violently / explosively with water or moisture,
particularly when the water is entrapped.
- Heat: Oxidizes at a rate dependent upon temperature and particle size.
- Strong oxidizers: Violent reaction with considerable heat generation. Can react explosively with nitrate (e.g.,
ammonium nitrate and fertilizers containing nitrate) particularly when heated or molten.
- Acid and alkalis: React to generate flammable / explosive hydrogen gas. Generation rate is greatly increased with
smaller particles (e.g., fines and dusts).
- Halogenated compounds: Many halogenated hydrocarbons, including halogenated fire extinguishing agents, can
react violently with finely divided aluminum.
- Iron oxide (rust) and other metal oxides (e.g., copper and lead oxides): A violent thermite reaction generating
considerable heat can occur. Reaction with aluminum fines and dusts requires only very weak ignition sources for
initiation. Molten aluminum can react violently with iron oxide without external ignition source.
- Iron powder and water: An explosive reaction forming hydrogen gas occurs when heated above 1470℉ (800℃).

Hazardous Decomposition:
Combustion of the coatings can generate carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, aldehydes and oxides of nitrogen.
