School.

Lesson Plan Project

Lesson Goals or Learning Targets (Word these as measurable student outcomes.)

The learning goals for this lesson will be communication cause I'll be communicating what
happened in world war 2 with women in war. Then for math ill show and help them with any
questions they have for the assignment.
Lesson Objectives or Success Criteria (Word these as student actions, use verbs.
In advisory I will ask the students questions on the video we had watched and what they
learned in the video. Then in advisory I will observe them and see if they are doing the
assignment correctly and listen to their questions they have for me.
Lesson Plan Content (Written narrative paragraph about the lesson content.)
My lesson plan will begin first period which is advisory and along with that ill teach 2nd
period as well. For the advisory class I will be teaching a slide of women in war, and 2nd
period we're gonna work on reflection for graphing. (Geometry)
CCSS Rationale (Describe the specific Common Core State Standards addressed during
the teaching of this lesson plan.)
The common core state standard is to push them when they give up or when they don't
want to try. In this class there's a few students that struggle with paying attention, and I try
my hardest to get them back into what they are supposed to do.
Instructional Procedures

● Focusing Event (Describe how you will get students to focus attention on your
teaching.)
My focusing event is to draw them in such as getting them involved such as asking
them questions on what we are doing in the lesson plan i've chosen.

● (Describe each of the instructional methods you will employ during the lesson.)
We’ll be watching a video based on the lesson and then for math I will be showing them
examples and have them try on their own.
● Student Participation (How will you engage students and get them on board to
participate?)
The way I will get them on board is asking them questions in between the lesson and
picking them individually if they don't raise their hand.
● Formative Check (How will you check that all students are involved and engaged in
the lesson?
I will be walking around and helping them get involved by using examples that intrigue
them.
● Closure (How will you end the lesson purposefully, with intentionality?)
The way I will end the lesson is by asking them one more time if they have any
questions at all.
● Assessment (How will you assess that students achieved the lesson goals or
learning targets?)
I will asses them by viewing their work to see if they got a good understanding of the lesson.
Lesson Plan Materials (Include everything needed to successfully complete the
lesson with the full class. Remember to include all supplies, as well as technology,
whiteboard space, classroom space, etc.)
What I had used was a powerpoint of the lesson on WORLD WAR II on women.
Then read an article to them about the women and what they had to do in war. Then
for math I had given them a worksheet and helped them with a problem and let them
do it themselves. Once they have done most of them as I'm observing I will use the
answer key to check their work to see if they've done it correctly once they've done it
right. I'll hand them their homework.
