Invitation for Electronic Bids

1. The Distribution and Consumer Services, Directorate, NEA invites electronic bids from eligible
bidders for:
ICB/DCSD-077/78-01 Supply and Delivery of Hardware and Accessories of XLPE Covered
Conductor and AB Cable
2. The mode of procurement is International Competitive Bidding procedures.
3. Eligible Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at Distribution
and Consumer Services Directorate, Material Management Division, Durbarmarg, Kathmandu (Ph.
No.01-4153152, email: mmddcsd@gmail.com) or may visit PPMO e-GP system
www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp.
4. Bidding documents is available online and can be downloaded from the e-GP system:
www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp. Interested bidders shall register in the e-GP system and deposit the cost
of bidding document amounting a non-refundable fee of NRs 20,000 (or equivalent amount in US$,
the exchange rate for which shall be that of published by Nepal Rastra Bank on the date of
publication) in the following bank account:

5. Interested Bidders shall submit the electronic Bids through www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp on or before
12:00 hours, December 03, 2020, for all packages.
6. Bids shall be opened in the presence of Bidders' representatives who choose to attend, 14:00
hours on December 03, 2020, respectively at Distribution and Consumer Services Directorate,
Material Management Division, Durbarmarg, Kathmandu. Bids must be valid for a period of 120
days counting from the day of bid opening and must be accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid
security in pdf format, amounting to a minimum of NRs. 12 million (or equivalent amount in US$,
the exchange rate for which shall be that of published by Nepal Rastra Bank on the date of notice
publication). The Bid Security shall be valid for a minimum of 30 days beyond the bid validity
period.
7. If the last date of purchasing and/or submission falls on a government holiday then the next
working day shall be considered as the last day. In such a case the bid validity and bid security
validity shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.
8. The Purchaser reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid and to annul the bidding process and
reject all Bids at any time prior to Contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the
Bidders.
9. Any Provisions which are not mentioned in this notice will be consistent with prevailing Public
Procurement Act (PPA) 2063, NEA Financial and Administration Regulation (2074) and other
prevailing Nepalese Rules.
