Sphere

✓ x2 + y2 + z2 = OP2
❑ This general equation of the sphere will only stay valid if we take the origin as the center of the sphere.

❑ In case, any random point (a, b, c) in three-dimensional space is taken as the center of the sphere, the
equation of sphere would be written as,
✓ (x - a)2 + (y - b)2 + (z - c)2 = r2

❑ Volume of a sphere: 3 𝜋𝑟3 ❑ Surface area of a sphere: 4 𝜋𝑟3

❑ The diameter of a sphere has its endpoints at (a, b, c) and (d, e, f),
1
then length of the Diameter = √{ d − a 2+ (e – b)2 + (f – c)2 } ✓ Radius = × 𝐷𝑖𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑟
2
Parabola

✓ If a parabola has a vertical axis, (x - h)2 = 4a(y - k), where a ≠ 0. The vertex of this parabola is at (h, k).

✓ If a parabola has a horizontal axis, (y - k)2 = 4a(x - h), where a ≠ 0. The vertex of this parabola is at (h, k).
