Resuelve el siguiente ejercicio: Code Crackers

OK code crackers, your job is to use the code cracking wheel below to translate the DNA codes on your worksheet to work out what
protein is being made. To do this you need to read the DNA code in groups of three letters at a time!
1 Find the first letter of the DNA code in the middle of the circle.
2 Move out to the second circle to find the next letter from the DNA code.
3 Move out to the third circle for the third letter of the code.
4 You will get to a letter in the outer circle. Write it down on your worksheet. For example, the DNA code ATG gives you the letter M.

Within the DNA code are the instructions for all the proteins that our body needs to function. Proteins are the main biological
building blocks and machinery in our cells. Different proteins have different jobs in the body, like digesting food and making energy.

1. Use the code cracking wheel.

- To use the wheel, work from the inside circle out to the outer circle. For example, if the first triplet of the sequence is ‘CAT’, the
amino acid it codes for is ‘H’.

- Before starting the activity, it is recommended that you demonstrate the example below.
Translate the following:
DNA sequence - atg gag gag ccg cag tca gat cct agc gtc gag ccg
Amino acid sequence - MEEPQSDPSVEP

2. Below are four sequences of different genes. Using the code cracking Wheel find the sequence of amino acids that
correspond to the nucleotide sequence.

3. Then, associate it with the corresponding image and, that is, it indicates which protein that gene encode, and answer what is
requested of you.
