Fourth Grade

MONDAY 9:45 SPELLING/GRAMMAR:


● PSSA prep
o We will be playing pssa scoot.
o They will each be assigned a number around the room to start at
which will have a packet question they must answer.
o After they answer the question at one space in the room, they will
scoot to the next space and answer that question and so on.

10:15 – 11:00 Small Group Intervention:


● They will continue the pssa prep from before.
● We will go over it when they are done

11:00 Math:
● Topic 15
o 15-4 Measure and Draw Angles
o They will be using the protractor to draw and measure different
angles.
o We will review how to use a protractor as a class.
o Then we will go over how to measure an angle.
o We will move on to draw an angle. We will do an activity where I tell
them an angle measurement and they will have to draw it and share
with their partners next to them.
o After they have nailed measuring and drawing angles as a class, they
will go into partners and work on assigned problems.

1:10 ELA:
● They will do some questions some PSSA questions on their own
● When they have finished a certain amount of questions, they will all
pass their papers around so they all have someone else’s paper and
check their answers.
● After a few sets of questions, we will break into groups and they will
complete questions on their own and then check their answers
together so they are able to hear their peers answers and reasoning.

2:20 SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES:


● I created a bunch of different transportation scenarios that will be
around the room.
● They will work in pairs and brainstorm together what will be the best
mode of transportation to use in that scenario.
● When they have gone to each station, they will come back as a class
and go over it.
● This will help them understand what transportation is and what
certain modes of transportation are used for.
TUESDAY 9:00 - 11:30:
ELA PSSA
12:10 -12:27 Start Math:
● Topic 15
○ 15-5

1:00 - 2:00 Math


● Continue 15-5
○ They will be learning how to add and subtract angle
measures
○ We will start as a whole group so we can discuss our
different angle measurements and then learn how to add and
subtract them. This will get them to understand the basics of
how to find unknown angle measures.
○ once we have finished going over it and teaching it, we will
break out into our four groups which each group is run by a
different teacher. these groups are here so they can get
practice while going at a speed that is comfortable for them.
WEDNESDAY 9:00 - 11:30:
ELA PSSA

12:10 -12:27 Start Math:


● Topic 15
○ 15 Test Review
○ They will each work in small groups and complete the
assessment.
○ This will allow them to hear other peers responses while

FRIDAY 9:45 SPELLING/GRAMMAR:
● We will use practice questions to play SCOOT around the classroom.
● Each desk will have a different PSSA question that they will answer and rotate
to the next test.

10:15 – 11:00 Small Group Intervention:


● We will continue the PSSA SCOOT from before.
● When done we will go over it and breakdown any questions we need to.

11:00 Math:
● They will start an online Math game.
● I will put up a few questions on the smart board that they will each
need to individually figure out.
● After they are done, they will find a partner to compare and go over
answers with.
● Then they will come back together to answer a few more questions.
● After they are done, they must find a NEW partner to compare
answers with.
● They will continue to repeat this.

1:10 ELA:
● We will play a PSSA science kahoot I created to go over questions
for the science pssa.

2:20 SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES:


● Transportation and Communication
○ We will go over the difference between transportation and
communication
○ We will have a group discussion about what transportation is
which we have been going over the past few days
○ Then we will have a group conversation about
communication which we talked about in late November.
○ After both of those discussions we will play a game I created
on the SmartBoard that will have them identify if that picture
is a mode of communication or a mode of transportation and
what it is used for.
