Project scope is the keystone interlocking all elements of a project plan. This project scope
definition is a document that will be published and used by the project owner and project
participants for planning and measuring project success. Scope describes what is expected to be

1. Project objective: The purpose of the project is to build a car using state of the art technology
to build and operate at a very low emissions. The objective of th project will be to design and
manufacture a car within a stipulated budget that would be safe and economic for the customers.
Under this project, a car will be manufactured which will be 10% more fuel efficient and
environment friendly car (1500cc) compared to exiting similar models in the market. The car will
be ready to launch in 12 months’ time and the production cost of each car not to exceed Taka
20,000,00.

5. Limits and exclusions: Market analysis and pre-design R&D are not part of this project and
should be completed before commencement of this project. Feasibility and justification of talking
up the project have already been done and preliminary R&D to produce the expected car has
been done. Also the project does not have any role in ensuring market acceptance of this car.
Post manufacturing sales & marketing is also beyond the scope of this project.
6. Closure of the project: After completion of the project, release and deployment of the project
resources will be executed as per the plan approved well ahead. The production of the cars will
then be taken over as a regular process.
