How drugs and alcohol addictions have destroyed some people’s lives?

I think drug and alcohol use often co-exists with other mental illnesses. In

may be present before the addiction. In others, drug use can trigger or worsen
those mental health disorders, particularly in people who have certain specific
vulnerabilities.
Some people with disorders such as anxiety or depression may use drugs and
alcohol to try to relieve psychiatric symptoms. This can exacerbate the mental
disorder in the long term and increase the risk of addiction.
