PART 1 GENERAL
A. This Section covers the furnishing and installation of all plumbing fixtures and trims
including all carriers, supports, anchors and accessories, in the location and
quantities shown on the Contract Drawings.

I. Fixture Supports
A. Furnishing, installation, testing and bringing systems into full satisfactory operational
conditions of the plumbing fixtures and trims.
B. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to
make the work complete and ready.
C. The Contractor shall provide all services, storage tanks, fill and refill mediums,
chemicals and all whatever other materials required for testing, commissioning and
start ups.
D. This Section shall be read in conjunction with SECTIONS 15051 and 15055.
1.05 REFERENCES
A. The referred codes and standards are intended to provide an acceptable level of
quality for materials, products and workmanship. In case of conflict between these
standards and the text of this Specification, the Specification text shall govern.
B. The latest revision of the referred codes and standards shall be used wherever
applicable. In case of conflict, the Contractor shall propose equipment, materials and
processes conforming to one group of codes and standards.

1.06 SUBMITTALS
A. The Contractor shall submit to the Royal Commission, under the provisions of
SECTION 01330, the following items for review and approval before commencing
Work:

a) Submit 3 color samples, where other than white fixtures are proposed.
3. Shop Drawings showing the proposed method of installation for all fixtures.

A. The Contractor shall be responsible for the quality of Work and shall develop and
propose programs and methods of construction and testing such as to achieve the
specified quality to the approval of the Royal Commission in accordance with
SECTION 01450.

B. In the absence of any of the above, best accepted industry practice shall be
employed throughout.
A. The Contractor shall deliver, handle and store equipment and material units in
accordance with SECTIONS 01650 and 01660, as well as the following
requirements:

4. Trim and accessories shall also be stored above ground in a dry place.
PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.01 GENERAL
A. All goods and products covered by these Specifications shall be procured, when
available, from an in-Kingdom manufacturer. Procurement of all goods and products
manufactured out-of-Kingdom must be approved by the Royal Commission.
C. All fixtures shall be of manufacturer's standard, selected from the top half of the
product line and shall not be "factory close-out," "end of the product model," or
otherwise discontinued models.
D. Each fixture and device shall have indelibly product name marked on it.
E. Vitreous ware for the fixtures shall be first-quality, non-absorbent china, of even color
and unwrapped.
F. Enamel ware shall be constructed of smooth, sound, iron castings, properly finished
and provided with first-quality high-temperature enamel.
G. Provide all products from a single manufacturer, where feasible and unless otherwise
noted.
H. All dimensions given here below are tentative and approximate nominal.
J. Although this part is structured for easy selection of fixtures, it will nevertheless be
necessary to refer to the manufacturer's printed catalog (or CD-ROM equivalent) for
exact, dimensions, shapes and colors other than white.
M. All fixtures color shall be white, unless otherwise noted. All matching color shall be
selected by the Royal Commission.
N. All fixtures shall be provided complete with faucets, water supplies, drains, fittings,
accessories and necessaries for complete, operational installation.
O. Fittings for fixtures shall be of heavy red brass castings, properly finished and
chrome plated.
Q. All exposed piping and tubing, when applicable, shall be of red brass, chrome plated.

2. Floor drains shall be 2-piece cast iron body with seepage flange, reversible
clamping collar, positioning set screws and adjustable polished brass strainer.
3. All floor drains connected to the sanitary system shall be provided with traps.

2. Roof drains shall be cast iron with medium sump and flange, bottom outlet,
removable beehive dome and bolted flashing clamp device integral with gravel
stop.
A. All wall hung plumbing fixtures shall be furnished with the fixture manufacturer's

PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 GENERAL
A. All fixtures shall be free from imperfections, true as to line, angles, curves and color;
smooth, watertight, complete in every respect.
A. Check that fixtures are complete with trim, faucets, fittings and other specified
components.
B. Inspect installed fixtures for damage. Replace damaged fixtures and components.
C. Test installed fixtures after water systems are pressurized and demonstrate proper
operation.
A. Inspection
1. Verify that walls and floor finishes are prepared and ready for installation of
fixtures.
2. Verify that piping, rough-ins and wiring are installed and in the right location.
4. Confirm that millwork is constructed with adequate provision for the installation
of counter top lavatories and sinks.
B. Preparation
3.04 INSTALLATION
A. Supports
3. Furnish and set all hangers, supports, brackets, etc., for proper installation of
all fixtures and equipment.
4. The Contractor shall be responsible for stability of all fixtures and furnishing all
chair carriers or other materials necessary to accomplish this.
9. If not factory primed or coated, prime all concealed supports with 1 coat of
rust-resistant primer.
B. Fixtures
1. All fixtures and equipment shall be mounted level, plumb, sure, rigid and flush
with wall or floor as appropriate.
2. Provide required trim including chrome plated rigid or flexible supplies, loose-
keyed stops, reducers, wastes, traps and floor and wall escutcheon plates.
5. Exception
7. Install each fixture with trap, easily removable for servicing and cleaning. Omit
traps on fixtures having integral traps. Omit traps on indirect wastes, except
where otherwise noted.
10. All fixtures shall be left thoroughly clean and free from all marks and foreign
substances.
11. The Contractor shall replace all leaky faucets and valves prior to initial
acceptance.
13. All trim shall be permanently stamped with manufacturer's identification visible
after installation.
14. Caulk around all fixtures and adjacent wall and floor surfaces with a white, or
color to match fixture, silicone sealant fungicidal type.
15. Set shower receptors and mop basins in leveling bed of cement grout.
16. Solidly attach water closets to floor with lag screws. Lead flashing is not
intended to hold fixture in place.
1. The unit shall be provided with a shut-off stop valve and a minimum 32 mm
P-trap with cleanout for through the wall discharge. It shall be indirectly
connected to the drainage line with vent.
2. Electrical Connections
A. Shut off valves shall be supplied for each fixture, at entrances of buildings and to all
equipment and controls.
C. Install unions on one side of all valves, equipment connections and elsewhere as
shown or required for ease of service and/or installation, unless flanges are
indicated.
E. Caulk around all plumbing fixtures with white silicone epoxy type, non-hardening
compound, where fixtures meet floor or wall as required to present a finish
appearance. See SECTIONS 07910 and 07920.
F. Set shower receptors and janitor receptors in a leveling bed of cement grout and lead
pan.
