WEEKLY LEARNING PLAN

Quarter: 4TH QUARTER Grade Level: FOUR DATE: APRIL 25– 29 2022
Week: 3 & 4 Learning Area: MATH
MELCs:
WEEK 3 -Visualizes the volume of solid figures in different situations using non-standard (e.g. marbles, etc.) and standard units.
WEEK 4 - Organizes data in tabular form and presents them in a single/double horizontal or vertical bar graph.

Day Objectives Topic/s Classroom-Based Home-Based

standard units A. Recall
B. Motivation (engage)
When we talk about the amount of water in
a container. We are talking of a volume.
When we are talking of how many marbles
inside the box, we are talking of volume.
So, what is volume? Volume is the amount
of space a solid figure occupies.
Non – standard units can be used to
measure volume.

C. Discussion of Concept (Explore)

Discuss the topic :
We use different units or objects like
marbles, stone, beans and others that
are countable. When a non-standard
unit used is small, we need many
objects to fill the container. When we
use big units, we need fewer objects to
fill the container.
So, what are the non- standard units
Non-standard do not give consistent
and accurate measurement of the
volume of a container.
Let us take a look at this example.
Jane and Carlo wanted to find the
volume of an empty box.

D. Developing Mastery (Explain)

Let us have an example.
A rectangular prism is a solid figure that has six
faces, twelve edges and eight vertices. Vertex
(vertices in plural form) is the corner of a shape.
Edge is a segment where two faces of a prism
meet. Some rectangular prisms have faces that
are shaped like rectangles and squares.

E. Application and Generalization (Elaborate)

Let the learners answer the exercises.

F. Evaluation
Let the learner’s
visualize using non-standard units and find the
volume of a rectangular prism

Explain the Home-based activities that they need

to accomplish.

A. Recall
B. Motivation (engage)
collect, organize and present data on two
variables in a single/double horizontal or
vertical bar graph.
To start, study the following example and
analyze how the given data are collected,
organized and presented.

C. Discussion of Concept (Explore)

A graph tells a story about the data or
information given.
A bar graph is one way of presenting set of data
which can either be vertical or horizontal in
form. It can be used to show and compare
information.
Double bar graphs help us to compare or
present more than one kind of information
instead of just one by using bars. Double bar
graphs can be vertical or horizontal.

D. Developing Mastery (Explain)

Answer each exercises given in the leap.

E. Application and Generalization (Elaborate)

Let the learners answer the exercises.
