Why is Environment important?

Even in the face of economic crisis, wars, and unending social problems,
the environment remains a critical issue. It matters because Earth is humans' only home and provides
them with air, food, and other necessities. Environment is All living and non-living things that occur
naturally, that is, not artificially, are included in the natural environment or natural world. As a Senior
High School Student, it is important to be aware about Environmental Crisis or Problems. I chose this
topic as of Environment is very important to us, it is our life, and it should be the one that we are going to
talk about every single day.
As I am doing my report and studying it, I realized so many things. That, we humans the borrower of this
Earth are abusing the environment so much. Just like for example, Illegal logging is illegal, but many of
us are doing it for the exchange of something that benefits us such as money. Environmental crisis is a
very real problem that threatens the existence of various species, including our own, that currently inhabit
this planet. Physical Cause, Legal Cause, Socioeconomic Cause, and Attitudinal Cause are the 4 main
possible reason for Environmental Crisis. Among these 4, I think the most responsible for the
Environmental Problems is the Attitudinal Cause for as this refer to the belief and values held by humans
about nature that allow them or make it permissible for them to cause damages to the natural
environment.
In this report, I have learned that philosophy also have the role to our Environment. But what is
philosophy’s role? Philosophy's role is to critically examine the foundations of beliefs about the natural
environment, and, in particularly, to distinguish which beliefs would lead humans to harm the
environment and which beliefs would not. In Addition, Philosophy tackled that Attitudinal Cause is the
one that causes such huge effects of the Environmental Problems. On the other hand, Philosophy's role is
to address the attitudinal causes of the environmental crisis, primarily to determine whether the beliefs
that led to environmentally harmful practices are true and justified. Philosophy established that this is a
critical role, as an attitudinal cause can influence other types of causes.
When it comes also in business, it has a big role in our Environment crisis. Big Corporations also can be
responsible for the Environmental problems. This big institution’s activities are leading into polluting the
oceans. They are the responsible for dumping a large scale of waste in the ocean where marine life is very
affected. Fish or other marine life are going to suffocate themselves by eating some Plastic waste and this
happened several times. I saw this once when I was 8 years old and me and my family took a vacation in
our relatives residing in Taguig City, Manila. While me and my family was in the ship, I was looking at
the balcony that time when I saw a large waste floating in the ocean. I was so shocked looking at the other
ship that is dropping more waste and it is never ending plastic waste floating in the middle of the ocean.
One of the main reasons is the type of activity that corporations engage in, which is business activity, and
how this activity relates to ethics. This question arises because business activities are already regulated by
legal laws, and some believe that these laws are sufficient to check these activities.
Therefore, there are many ways for us to rebuild and protect our Environment. One of this is to educate
and raise awareness about these issues. Protecting the environment should be as important as the
protection of your own life. First and foremost, we should all be familiar with the term "environment." All
living things exist within their own favorable zones of the environment, so it is difficult to ignore the
environment without caring for it. Indeed, the Lord has created a flexible environment for all living
organisms on the planet. Even though the environment can survive in its natural state, human intervention
has wreaked havoc on many ecosystems. It is critical that we safeguard our environment so that we can
continue to live on this planet in a healthy and secure environment.
