Multicultural Lesson Plan

Lesson Objective
Subject: English
Grade Level : 1st grade
Objective: A book named "All People Are Beautifull"
will be read to the students. After that, children will
work on worksheets given by their
instructor. Students will work with a partner. After
students will work on their presentation to the class about
their own cultural backgrounds or might have kids
research another culture to present on while also learning
about the cultural backgrounds of others. Increasing
exposure to a variety of nationality cultures. After that, the
students will write 3-5 sentences about what they learned
about another culture that they were unfamiliar with, as
well as 3-5 sentences about a presentation that they have
in common. This will allow them to learn more about their
own cultural backgrounds as well as the cultural
backgrounds of others.
Students will be able to create a poster of their cultural
background or a different cultural background
Students will be able to summarize one thing they learned

• Students will be able to define the understanding of different cultural

Materials
• All people are beautiful by Vincent Kelly (teacher will
provide)
• Work sheet is provided from (Kelly Clarkson online
website)
• Crayons/Markers (teacher will provide)
• Blank lined paper (teacher will provide)
• Poster (teacher will provide)
• Pictures(teacher will provide)

Independent Practice
Students will be creating their own
small presentation on where
they're from, cultural differences,
anything special about your culture,
foods you eat, and anything else
they'd want to share with their
classmates and teacher. They got 20
minutes.
Write 3-5 sentences about
what you learned about
another culture that you
were unfamiliar with.
Exit Slip
Write 3-5 sentences about a
presentation that they have
in common.

• 1. My students will know what multiculturalism is and will be able to define
the understanding of different cultural backgrounds. Specific subject
concepts and skills that were taught and how they were taught in my
presentation were my students knowing what multiculturalism is and will
be able to define the understanding of different cultural backgrounds.
While also being able to produce a poster depicting their cultural
background or another cultural background, as well as summarize one
thing they learnt from another culture.
• 2.They created a poster from their own culture, and some were also given

Reflection the opportunity to make one from a foreign culture, demonstrating their
global knowledge, skills, and abilities. They also had a better knowledge of
the concept "multiculturalism."
• 3. During the "Instruction-learning process," there was a high level of
active student learning. Many students were intrigued, especially since I
had work sheets and presented a book that they were interested in and
wanted to learn about.
• 4.strengths: allowing students to see where their teacher comes from as
well as her cultural backgrounds. Being able to work with others if they so
desired. Being able to supply a book to help them comprehend better.
• Weakness: Add more activities and more resources
