Motor: the motor power is 0.75Kw this can lift the load of the machine safely with and
can resist all the friction and other resistance.
• Pulley: the diameter of the smaller pulley is 75mm and the larger one is 200 mm this
can
reduce the speed and increase the torque of the machine.
T1=200Nm
N1=35.75rpm
T2=516Nm
N2=13.36rpm
• Belt: the belt have a length of 1458mm and 510mm center distance and width of 20mm
• Shaft: the shaft of the motor have 40mm diameter and the shaft of the driving shaft is
62mm with material of the shaft is carbon steel with factor safety 2 and there is bending
and torsional stress.
• Rope: the diameter of the rope is 13mm and wire diameter of 0.819mm there is a
bending
stress in the rope with factor of safety 7.
• Conveyor belt: the conveyor have a flow rate of 1.35 × 10-3𝑚3/𝑠𝑒𝑐 and mass flow rate
3.3Kg/sec
• Chain: the number of teeth is 10 on the smaller sprocket the number of teeth on the
large
sprocket 50 pitch is p=19.05mm then Roller diameter, d= 12.07mm the minimum width
of
roller = 11.68 mm. Centre distance between the sprockets, is
572 𝑚𝑚 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑡ℎ 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑖𝑛 𝐿𝑝 = 2229𝑚𝑚
• Frame: the horizontal frame have 25×50mm and the vertical frame have
50mm× 100𝑚𝑚 and we have checked bending and tensile stress respectively.
• Key: the key has width of 14mm and thickness of 9mm and length of 37mm with safe
bending stress.
