COVER LETTER

Dear Sir / Madam

Thank you so much for your consideration and this opportunity.

My love of auto mechanics started a few years ago when a friend and I would work
in his Dad’s garage. His Dad is a heavy-duty mechanic and he had all the tools and
experience to guide us. He helped us buy used cars, take them apart and either fix
them up, rebuild the engines and re-sell them or take the cars apart and sell the
parts online.

In high school, I took all the mechanics courses available and decided I wanted to
pursue a career as a heavy-duty mechanic. I particularly like working with machinery
and feel this industry would be the best choice for me.

I am applying to the Heavy Mechanical Trades Apprentice program at BCIT. I am

currently looking for an employer to sponsor my apprenticeship with the Industry
Training Authority (ITA), which starts in September 2022.

Thank you,
Brady Simonsen
