Re: Notice of delay/breach of obligations

DEAR MS. HAL AND ENGR. CORP:

Greetings. This letter refers to the breach of your obligations under our construction agreement
dated 20 August 2021. Under our said agreement, you have undertaken to complete the
construction of my 2-storey house at San Rafael, Noveleta, Cavite for a period of only six (6)
months, which would end on 06 January 2022.
 
However, after the lapse of three (3) months from the onset of the construction, you remain
unable to finish even the structural form of the proposed building. Independent estimate shows
that you have only completed roughly about fifteen to twenty percent (15-20%) of the
proposed building. Worst, you have seemingly stopped the construction of my house without
offering any reasonable explanation. You should have already finished at least (50%) of the total
proposed building at this point. Unfortunately, repeated attempts to reach you proved futile as
you have only vehemently refused to discuss the matter with me. Hence, I now tender you this
notice of delay/breach in the performance of your obligations. You have thirty (36) hours,
reckoned from the receipt of this letter, to provide an explanation as to the cause of your delay
and to immediately resume the halted construction. Otherwise, I shall be constrained to cancel
our agreement and institute the appropriate legal actions against you to seek remuneration for
the damages that I have sustained out of the said delay/breach in the performance of your
obligations.
