Thank you sincerely from all at LINC to the Pride Committee for all their hard work. There was a great turnout for the BBQ and the Brunch in LINC over the weekend, the place was buzzing with our LGBTS communities, families and friends. The monetary contributions over the weekend were greatly appreciated. Phoenix Youth Group were amazing with their hip hop dance performance at the end of the parade. We look forward to further performances from them. Thanks so much to everyone that helped with LINCs first float! We will start the creation of the float earlier next year. Womens Camp 2011

Come to Camp! This year it's in Macroom. 6th to 27th July 2011 For many years, women and children from Ireland and elsewhere have been gathering at the Irish Women's Summer Camp. The camp is primarily lesbian, and all women respecting this are welcome. Each year some women undertake to find land and set up camp. After that, the camp is run by all the women who come to it, in a spirit of autonomy and selfsufficiency. Every woman is part of the daily running of camp & takes on tasks or shares a job. On the last Thursday of camp, a Big Meeting is held to plan for the next year. Camp is an opportunity for us to live without our usual routines but in comfort and the company of women. The facilities on site are aimed at providing us with all the comfort that camping allows! Showers, sweats, trench latrines & drainage are all part of the camp experience. We rely on each other to keep camp comfortable and well-organised, and it is very important for every woman to regularly participate in the Camp jobs. There are regular tasks, such as woodchopping, cooking, recycling, digging you can share your skills or learn a new one by working with someone elseit's a good way for us to get to know each other, and keeps camp running well! For more information, please email womenscamp2011@gmail.com

This may be of interest to people who would like to sell their work. For the past few months we have been exhibiting some lovely paintings by a community member so dont forget to take a look the next time you are around

OMG they were just brilliant at their very first performance in The Other Place last Thursday night. It was so good to see the support which the girls had from friends and family. I guess there will be a Queue outside LINC next Wednesday night with new members wanting to join! We would also like to say Thanks to the group for helping prior to the BBQ on Friday night. LATE LINC
Late LINC is an opportunity for people to come in and chill out together so feel free. Over the weekend we met lots of women who didnt realise we had a casual drop in Community space. Remember this is Your Centre your space and open to you to use as you wish. If you have an idea and want to share LINCs space then if we can accommodate you we will. In most communities the summer time is fairly quiet but in LINC we hope it might be a time to get together. We have a gorgeous little garden sun on the way and plenty of free tea and coffee so make it happen! MEET AND GREET If you couldnt make the Meet and Greet last time then dont worry it will be a regular feature dependent on numbers so look out on the newsletter for the next one.

NEWSLETTER
The newsletter is the easiest way to get all LINCs info. Even though you are reading it now it might be an idea to mention to friends about signing up through our website to receive the newsletter each week. It appears lots of people are out of the LINC loop so we want to ensure they get in! Follow us on FACEBOOK make us a friend to get all the latest news.

AS always the Mna Mna Choir performed to their usual brilliant standard in St. Annes church last Thursday night. The choir are one of the most consistent groups and as we have said before a lovely way to meet people each week.

There will be a car pool to Blackrock Castle and a leisurely walk on the Blackrock to Rochestown walk. This takes about 45 minutes each way. The nice thing about it is the fact that on one end you have Blackrock castle for coffee and on the other end Rochestown Inn for more coffee or even something stronger. Of course the women have planned a beautiful sunny summers evening so bring along the children and the dogs if you want a nice evening out and about. For more details ring Ann on 087 2920060
