Homework: Second and third conditionals

Objective: The student is able to recognize the context which he/she must talk about
imagine present and future situations, or to express the past consequences of an
unrealistic action or situation in past.

Writing Activity

Complete the second conditional sentences:

1. If I won the lottery : He would Travel around the world
2. If I had only one day to live I would eat all the burgers in the world

5. If I were an animal it would be an eagle
6. If I couldn’t speak I would understand with signs

Speaking Activity
Activity: Prepare the answers for the following questions:
1. What would you have done if you had been the leader of the country during…?

R: I would like to work for the improvement of all possible areas: tourism, economy,
education, health... but it is when I walk through the streets of my city that I understand
that we must establish priorities. Mine are education, environment and culture

2. What would your second choice for a university or degree subject have been? How would
your life be different now if you had done that instead?
 R: My second option would be architecture, for the reasonIt allows you to develop
new projects with which you will be able to exploit your creative capacity to create
functional, useful and very well-constructed spaces.

3. What would you have done in your last holiday if time, money etc had been
no limit? How could that have changed your life?
R: I would do other activities like draw play soccer go out with my family to a
park

4. How would your life have been different if you had been born a girl/ boy?

R: Many questions would come to my mind. Do I have what to wear? Who

is going to see me? Am I on my period or will I be fine during the day? Who
do I have to call? How do I stop idiots from saying things to me on the
street? How do I make someone who interests me tell me something? All
the questions I'm never asked as a man.

5. How would your country be different if someone different had won the last
election?

R: Get rid of impunity ,Assess the work context, Clear rules, Promotion of ethics
and responsibility

6. If you could change one thing about your body or personality, what would it be?

R: Without a doubt! Many things. I consider myself quite sparing and shy when it comes to
relationships. It's also hard for me to say no, when it ends up being the best not only for
me but for whoever "induces" me to accept a certain thing.

7. What would you do if you knew that the world was going to be hit by a comet and
destroyed in one week?

R: Apart from panicking, nothing, no time for anything. Maybe a little

emergency family reunion as a farewell.
 8. How would you have made … a success rather than a failure?

R: mistakes can be seen as success. And it is that, both in science and in

life, a failure teaches us what we should not do to achieve success. Our
ability to identify why we have failed is essential in this regard.

9. What things could make you emigrate?

R: Lack of opportunities, inequality, insecurity, economy, quality of life

10. What would you do if you saw a UFO?

R: I would look for a rational explanation for what I am seeing. And that
explanation, of course, would not be that I am seeing an alien spacecraft.
