Control panel _— 29088408 Congratulations oa your purchase of a JUKL coro panel ‘To get the most out of many functions ofthe control panel, iis INSTRUCTION MANUAL smal fetes Wehgeyn iene GENERAL ‘The CP-130 of control panel achieves many different featuses when used with the sewing machine controller. (Caution) The CP-130 of control panel is not interchangeable with our SC Series of control panel (SC-120, -220 and -320). If any of these SC Series of control panel instead of the CP-120, it will not function and may break itself and the main unit of the sewing machine controller. 1, CONFIGURATION @ Pover indicator lamp (LED): Lights up when the power switch is turned ON. @ Max. speed limitation variable resistor: Limits the speed when itis moved tothe left ( =). 2. HOW TO USE THE BOBBIN THREAD COUNTER amuaees cP130 The table below gives the initial setting values Tor veference when the bobbin is wound with thread to the extent that the pinhole in the outside of the bobbin case is reached as shown. in the figure given above. Length of thread jebbin Thread | woundround | Yelue on bobbi the bobbi 1200 Spun thread #50 36m (titch length 3 mim) 1080) Cotton thread #50 31m (stitch length : 300m) “Thread tension rate 100 % * Actually, the bobbin thread counter is affected by the material thickness and the sewing speed. So, adjust the inital value of the bobbin thread counter in accordance with the operating ‘conditions, ‘The machine detects the number of stitches. The preset value on the bobbin thread ccanter is subtracted in accordance with the number of stitches detected. (Every time the detector detects 10 stitches, 1 is subtracted from the preset value on the bobbin thread counter.) When the value on the counter becomes @ minus value as “I = 0 = ‘he operator that the time to change the bobbin thread has come, 1,” the buzzer peeps three times 10 warn 1) Pressbobbinthreadcounterresetswitch @ toreturnthe value indicated on bobbin thread counter @ to the initial value Gt thas been factory-set to "0" at the time of delivery). (Caution) ‘The bobbin thread counter cannot be reset dur- ing sewing. In this case, make the thread tr mer actuate once. 2) Specify an initial value using bobbin thread amount setting switch ©. 3) Once the initial value is specified propery, start tbe sewing machine, 44) When a minus value is shown on the counter and the buzzer peeps thee times, zeplace the bobbin thread 5) ‘After the bobbin thread has been properly replaced, press ‘bobbin thread counter reset switch @ to return the value on thebobbin thread counterto the initial value, Now Te-startthe sewing machine. 6) ¥f the remaining amount of bobbin thread is excessive or the bobbin thread runs out before the bobbin thread counter indicates @ minus value, and the initial value appropriately using the“ o¢ “.” switch of bobbin thread amount seting switch If the remaining amount of bobbin thread is excessive Tncrease the initial value using the "switch, If the remaining amount of bobbin thread is insufficient ‘Decrease the intial value using the "switch. (Caution) if the bobbin thread counter Is used in combination with the bobbin thread remaining amount detecting device, the bobbin thread counter indicstes the number of detections of the bobbin thread remaining amourtt detecting devics, So, be sure to use the devies after carefully reading the Instruction Manual for the bobbin thread rem: detecting device. Every time needle up/down compensation switch @ is pressed, the needle goes up when itis in its lowest position ar comes down When it i i ts highest position. This compensates the stitch by ‘half of the predetermined stitch length, ‘However, note thatthe machine does not run continously at alow speed even if you keep the switch pressing, The trimming is operative only at the time of stitch compen: sation alter depressing the front part of the pedal once, 6. KEY LOCK FUNCTION | ccan be locked. (Even with the setting keys locked, the pattern to In order so prevent the specified data on the number of stitches or the processes (A, B, Cand D) to be changed by mistake, the setting switch 'be sewn and the value on the bobbin thread counter can be changed.) 1) fer the completion of the siting of data on the number of stitches, ee, tum OFF the poser ta the machine once. 2) Tum ON the power switch white simultaneously pressing automatic reverse stitching (fr end) switch “st Switch of numberof stitches seting switch ® for process A with fingers 3) Key mark @ is shown on the contol panel. ‘This completes the locking of keys. ‘Ete key mark is not shown on the contol panel, carty out the aforementioned steps 1) hroueh 3) again) * Toreleas thc keys from the locked state, perform the aforesen- tioned steps 1) and 2}. (Once the key mark goes out, the Keys are released from the locked stat) 7. ON/OFF SWITCH © OF THE MATERIAL EDGE SENSOR + When the material edge sensor, which is optionally available, is connected to the control panel, the ON/OFF switch of the material edge sensor becomes effective, + If the material edge sensor is specified, the sewing machine will automatically stop running ot perform thread trimming when the sensor detects the material edge. (Caution) —1f the material edge sensor is used in combination with the control panel, carefully read the Instruction Manual for the material edge sensor beforehand, 8, AUTOMATIC THREAD TRIMMING SWITCH @® + This switch is used to automatically actuate the thread trimmer ina process where the sewing machine automatically stops or when the ‘material edge sensor is used. (Af the automatic reverse stitching (for end) is specified, the thread trimmer will actuate after the sewing machine completes the automatic reverse stitching (for end).) 9. ONE-SHOT AUTOMATIC STITCHING SWITCH© + This switch is used, in the overlapped stitching mode or inthe process where the material edge sensor is specified, to make the sewing ‘machine automatically perform sewing atthe specified speed until the end of the process is reached only by driving the sewing machine 10. THREAD TRIMMING PROHIBITION SWITCH ® + This swite i used to temporarily make the thread rimming function inoperative, The other performance of sewing machine ls aot affected by this switch, Af the automatic reverse sitching (for end) is specified, the sewing machine will perform the automatic reverse stitching atthe end of sewing) + Ifthe automatic thread trimming switeh. 2) andthe thead trimming prohibition switch @@) are both specified, the machin will nt perform thread trimming but top with Ks Heed up. alJLeica To order or for futher infomation, please contact JUKI CORPORATION INTERNATIONAL SALES Onision 8-2-1, KOKURYO~0H0, (CHOFU ~ SH, TOKYO 182, JAPAN PHONE : 03 (3430) 4001~8 FAX 03 (490) 4909, 4908, 4914 Pease do not nestate fo contol ou stnbiows OF agate Your area fr Farther norman wen ‘TELEX : 122967 ‘= The doseriation covered in this insttuction manual is subject 12 change for wmprovement of the
