CHAPTER IV
ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA
This chapter provides the presentation of collected data
from chosen respondents in Our Lady of La Porteria Academy. The
researcher utilizes specified statistical tools such as
mean/average computation, getting its corresponding percentage
and the use of Pearson Product Moment Correlation or the r value
in establishing relationship among included variables in this
study

1. What is the level of preparedness of the Senior High

School students to the flexible distance learning
modality along Availability of learning resources;
Internet Access; Technological Literacy; and Home
learning space.

Table 1
Level of preparedness in Flexible learning of Senior High School
Students

CATEGORY WEIGHTED MEAN L. O. P

Availability of 3.00 MODERATELY PREPARED
learning resources
Internet access 3.12 MODERATELY PREPARED
Technological 2.96 MODERATELY PREPARED
literacy
Home learning space 2.78 MODERATELY PREPARED
2

Weighted Mean computation:

Σ f group x N group
x ❑w =
N total

In terms of learning resources’ availability, most of the

students have only used smart phones to support with their
synchronous and asynchronous classes which yield to have an
average of 3.00 that indicates MODERATELY PREPARED towards
flexible learning modality.

In terms of internet access, most of the students have

moderate access to the internet through cellular data only which
somehow provides them stability required to sustain in their
synchronous and asynchronous classes which yield to have an
average of 3.12 that indicates MODERATELY PREPARED towards
flexible learning modality.

In terms of technological literacy, most of the students

have good technical skills and competence needed to navigate a
virtual classroom, comply with the performances and other related
tasks which yield to have an average of 2.96 that indicates that
students are MODERATELY PREPARED towards flexible mode of
learning.

While in terms of Home learning space category, most of the

students show a good learning environment. However, they do not
have study area at home that is why they are usually distracted
during their synchronous and asynchronous classes which yield to

have an average of 2.78 that indicates MODERATELY PREPARED

towards flexible learning modality.

1. What are the challenges of the respondents in Flexible

Distance Learning Modality in terms of;
A. Self-Regulation Challenges (SRC);
B. Technological Literacy and Competency Challenges
(TLCC);
C. Student Isolation Challenges (SIC);
D. Technical Sufficiency Challenges (TSC);
E. Technological Complexity Challenges (TCC);
F. Learning Resource Challenges (LRC); and
G. Learning Environment Challenges (LEC)

Below the table is your description. Describe in general

what are the data placed in the table and the specific
interpretation that is being shown per data in that table. Since
this is your chapter 4, describe what is going on in that table,
what the results are and what are their specific
interpretation/s.

After the description, provide the general interpretation of

data. To write a general interpretation, do not just repeat what
the table of results and scale of interpretation is saying, you
also have to identify what is its implication, what, in other
words, do these results mean?

For studies that do not use tables, like descriptive, and in

other qualitative studies, you may provide the answers of your
respondents to your SOP 3 in paragraph form. Make sure to combine
repetitive answers.

(repeat steps if you have more than 3 SOP)

Endnotes
(usually, chapter 4 do not have endnotes specially if the data
and interpretation were all coming from the participants and the
researcher, but if you have cited quotes from other sources, or copied
a table or statistical findings, or even images from other sources,
please cite them here.)

(Follow the APA format for different kinds of references. Follow

the rules for book, article, webpage/website. The rules can also
be found in the module.)
