GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 History

Our company is working in aluminum extrusion sector since 1989, when we


were widely known as ‘National Aluminum’. We changed our brand name as
‘National Industries’ in 2008 with the mission to deliver the best quality of
work in the aluminum extrusion sector. Since then, we have never looked
back. Just within a year of establishing National Industries, we started
receiving great response and feedbacks from our beloved clients.

1.2 About Company

National industries were founded at Sachin,10 km south from Surat, in


Gujarat, Western India. After some years we started small aluminum extrusion
line in Kim near Surat in Gujarat and thereafter, National Industries started
getting recognized for quality and in no time we began receiving more
demands of clients. We started more 3 lines in our industries.

1.3 Mission :-

Our mission is simple and permanent since day one; To give the best quality
all over India in the quickest time possible to our clients. We have a long list
of happy client that loved our quality and service and we are viewing
ourselves as the one stop shop for aluminum extrusion by providing each

every products and sector of our industry.

Fifteen years ago it was the most advanced in quality and this indeed is still
the case today as well. Our technical evolution of our equipment has been the
most gradually and consistently growing through the past years and we are
continuing to learn from our clients as we are understanding the problems they
are facing. So, as we progressed from project to project and client to client,
we made our client more happy with our services.

It is our customers only who motivates us all time to continue the process of
increasing our performance and they believe in our decision with reliability.
Our main focus is giving our product with more quality conscious with low-

Aluminium is a silvery- white metal, the 13 element in the periodic table. One surprising
fact about aluminium is that it’s the most widespread metal on earth, making up more
than 8% of the earth’s core mass. It’s also the third most common chemical element on
our planet after oxygen and
silicon.

There are two types of


aluminium ;

1 Primary Aluminium

2 Secondary Aluminium

2.1.1 Raw Material Used :-

This pie shows that it produces the most aluminium. As per the data 2020 the China is
most raw material and aluminium production countries . China is 31000 metric tonnes
consumed. When India is 2750 metric tonnes consumed.

National Industries the most raw material imports in China. Currently custom duty on
primary aluminium is 7.5 % and aluminium scrap is only 2.5%

Post that the share of import from the us in China’s total aluminium scrap imports has
declined from 53% in 2017 to just 16 % in 2019. India has overtaken China as world
largest aluminium scrap importer .

Let us study it in detail;

Raw material mixing:-

This is where all the raw material come together. And raw material is heated in an
aluminium farance machine at a temperature of 700 C
until it becomes a liquid. This
process are called “
aluminium farance ” .

This process lasts 30


minutes. If raw
material is light then
30 minutes is heavy
then 1 hour lasts.

The ingredients
added to the are :

1 Aluminium scrap

2 Electrical cable

3 Aluminium wire

4 Defective logs and


other chemicals like
magnesium ,copper,
zinc, silicon, lithium
which result in the
final compound.

Extrusion of
Billet Casting :-

The term “billet” refers to the form of the metal being used in the manufacturing process
rather than the manufacturing process itself. Billets are solid lengths of metal with square
or circle cross-section. They can be made of virtually any type of metal or alloy and to
virtually any size to suit the part and production specifications.

This liquid is slowly poured onto the tedonds after processing the aluminium faranace.
Billets are produced by continuous casting or hot rolling methods. Once they are in their
initial form and size, they are generally shaped into the final part form and size through
machine methods which means excess material is removed from the workpiece.

Billet multilog Heater :-

Billets heating furnace with hot log shear is special equipment which is used in the pre-
process of Aluminium extrusion and it is mainly used in the billet heating, heat

The machine has the functions of Aluminium billets awing station and heating furnace,
which can finish the work by one time It can avoid waste Aluminium because it can use
the remained Aluminium billets with the next engineering. Improve the finished products
rate by 5%-8%, decrease the consumption by 25%.Same size Aluminium billet with
different materials alloy can be replaced freely without any delay, save the time greatly.
The machine can get to working temperature from normal temperature in a short time,

save the gas.

Cold Chamber Die Casting :-

Cold chamber die casting is ideal for metals


with high melting points and corrosive
properties. When compared to hot chamber
die casting, cold chamber die casting solves
the corrosion problem by separating the melt
pot from the injector components. The
process begins when molten metal is ladled
from the furnace into the shot chamber
through a pouring hole. Next, the plunger
forces metal through the shot chamber into
the die at pressures ranging from 2,000 and
20,000 psi. 

With cold-chamber die casting, metal is first


heated to achieve a molten state in a separate
furnace. The molten metal is then transported
to the casting machine where it’s fed into the

machine’s chamber. The machine uses a pressurized plunger to force the molten metal into
the cavity of the mold. This separated process is what directly differentiates cold chamber die
casting from hot chamber casting.

Aluminium Casting :-

After the aluminium is extracted from the cold chamber die casting, it is first straightened by
the machine for proper cutting , then the primary cutting is done and then the final cutting is
done.

Inspection :-

The final aluminium undergoes several inspection before it is deemed ready to ship.
These include

1 X-ray,

2 visual inspection ,

3 balancing test as well as tests to check the true shape of the aluminium.

The
balancing
tells you the

lightest/heaviest point on the aluminium which is then marked by a red/black dot.

This is the point where the aluminium installer will usually mount the aluminium onto the
rim and align it with the valve to balance the weight. If all the inspection pass , the
aluminium is then stored in the warehouse as “ Finished Goods” ready for dispatch.

per IS, ASTM , EN or as per specific customer requirements and is certified for both the
European CE and Indian BIS.

A full -fledged quality assurance and technical service department established within the
NATIONAL INDUSTREIS premises , along with its state of the art equipment , takes
care of the metal analysis , mechanical testing , metallographic examination and other
studies. Some of the contemporary tools used are;
