ITEM 1049 JET GROUTING 1049.1 Description The Works shall consist of construction of grout columns with diameter (0.80 meter) and spacing as specified on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer. This shall consist of installation, monitoring and testing of pressure/jet grouting to meet the acceptance criteria in the drawings. The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials and equipment to accomplish the work. 1049.2 Materials Requirements The grout consists of the following materials with approval of job mix that requires laboratory testing and verification and approval by the Engineer prior to placement; 1. Cement, Portland, which shall conform to the requirements of Item 700 of the DPWH Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, Volume Il, 2013 Edition. 2. Washed Sand conforming to the requirements of Item 703.5.2 of the DPWH Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, Volume II, 2013 Edition. W122 1049.3 1049.4 1049.5 1049.6 3. Water conforming to the requirements of Item 714 of the DPWH Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, Volume II, 2013 Edition. 4. Shurry conforming to the requirements of Item 716 of the DPWH ‘Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, Volume I, 2013 Edition. 5. Other additives that may be required and approved by the Engineer. Equipment Requirements ‘The equipment needed for the execution of the works shall be available at the site prior to placement as follows; 1. Drilling rig equipment of a type and capacity suitable for drilling required hole diameter and drilling down to the required depth. Cement Grout Mixer (High Speed) and holding tank High Pressure Pump Pressurized grouting equipment Measuring and recording devices Generator Set Water Pump Available spare parts to maintain satisfactory operation maintenance. SI AWAwN Construction Requirements Construction scheme as showa on plans shall be carried out by the contractor. The Contractor shall submit for the Engineer’s approval shop drawings, installation plan and construction methodologies at least two (2) weeks before commencing on construction of bore holes and grouting works Method of Measurement ‘The quantity to be paid for will be measured by linear meter from the top to bottom of the grouted boreholes as determined by the Engineer conforming to the diameter as shown on plans without additional for excess in required diameter. Basis of Payment ‘The quantities, determined shall be paid at the contract unit price which price and payment shall be full compensation for furnishing and placing all materials including formworks as may be required, excavations, tools and incidentals necessary to complete the Item. Payment will be made under: W123 Pay em Unit oF Number Desenption Measurement TO Tet Grouting, Linear Meter (0.80m, dia. X 25m.)
