Тема: The Present Continuous Tense
Мета: Ознайомити учнів з функціями та утворенням Present Continuous
Tense, формувати навички вживання нової граматичної структури в
мовленні, збагатити знання учнів про способи утворення теперішнього часу
в англійській мові, виховувати інтерес до іноземної мови, формувати мовну
здогадку.
Обладнання: підручник «Elisabeth Grey, Virginia Evans , Welcome 1»,
малюнки по темі, схема, текст для відповідей на запитання.
Етап 1. Ознайомлення з новою ГС
Мета: продемонструвати функції нової ГС в усному мовленні.
Прийом 1 : демонстрації нової ГС в контексті.
Teacher: Children, look My table is so dirty. Now I will clean it ! What I am
doing right now? I am cleaning the table.
Teacher: Nastya, what are you eating now? - She is eating a bun with cherries
Teacher: So, children, at what time are the actions performed?
Children: right now
Teacher: and what inversion did I add to the main verb?
Children: - ing
Teacher: Right. Did I use any other words unknown to you?
Children: Yes – am, is, are.
Прийом 2: Демонстрація графічної форми ГС
Мета: пояснити правила утворення нової ГС
Teacher: Отже, Present Continuous Tense утворюється за допомогою дієслова
to be ( am – при першій особі однини, is – при третій особі однини , are – при
особах множини) та закінчення – ing, яке додається до основного дієслова.
Teacher: In your opinion, when we use Present Continuous?
Children: When the action takes place now
Teacher: Great
Прийом 3 : Сприймання граматичних одиниць на слух
Мета: Перевірити рівень засвоєння c
Teacher: Now, I am dictating a sentence, and your task is to say whether it is
correct or not. If correct use the word True and if not then use the word False.
1. She are playing tennis now (-)
2. He is playing football ate the moment(+)
3. They are dancing now(+)
4. The dog am jumping over the fence now(-)
5. They is working at the moment(-)
Етап 2. Автоматизація дії учнів з новою ГС на рівні фрази.
Мета: навчити учнів вживати нову ГС на рівні фрази.
Прийом: Імітація
Teacher: Kids, let's play a game with you now. I say a short sentence and you
repeat after me.
- He is climbing
- She is swimming
- They are singing a song
- I am jumping
Діти повторюють за вчителем кожне речення.
Прийом: Підстановка
Teacher: Kids, look at the picture. Describe to me the actions of each character in
this picture ( фото з підручника)

The prince is looking at the water.

Birds flying in the sky.
The horse eating gras etc.
Прийом: Трансформація ГС
Teacher: Your task is the following, I call the sentence, and you say I'm right or
not. If not, say the right sentence.
Dear my friend, Kate!
Thank you for your letter and for your ribbons. They are very pretty. I’m wearing
them now.
I’m writing this letter in my bedroom. My mother and my father are in the kitchen.
They aren’t watching TV. They aren’t talking. They are eating.
My brother is in his bedroom. He isn’t watching TV. He is playing the computer.
My grandma is in the living room. She doesn’t like to watch TV. She is looking at
some photos.
What are you doing now? Are you riding a bike? Are you playing the computer?

Teacher: Children, you and I will take turns composing sentences in the Present
Continuous/
Example I'm reading a book at the moment
Laura is walking the dog now

Eтап 3.
Автоматизація дій учнів з новою ГС на рівні понадфразової єдності.
Мета: вчити учнів вживати нову ГС у коротких висловлюваннях
монологічного та діалогічного мовлення.
Прийом 1. Об’єднання нової ГС в мікродіалог
Teacher: Students, now you are divided into pairs and we will have a dialogue with
you on the topic "what am I doing now?" Everyone says their line and asks
questions to their partner.
For example:
- I drink tea with cake now.
- And I'm doing an exercise in English.
- What exercise are you doing?
Прийом 2: Об’єднання ЗМ у ПФЄ.
Мета: Учні можуть висловлювати свої думки за допомогою нової ГС
Teacher: Children, there is a picture( фото з підручника) in front of you. Based on
it, according to the example, you express the action that each character performs in
this picture.
Example: Robin Hood is reading now
Teacher: Based on this task, imagine the situation that you are at home now, what
you are doing at the moment, describe in the Present Continious
