2020 Being Environmentally Conscious
2020 Being Environmentally Conscious
1. Reduce Waste
Waste is an obvious culprit and
pollutant. It contributes to landfills
and toxins, which harm the earth’s
soil and atmosphere. Avoid buying
products with materials that take a
long time to decompose, such as
plastic and styrofoam. Instead, opt
for products made out of bamboo,
reusable glass, or recycles materials.

Tips for Living Eco-Friendly:
2. Dispose of Harmful
Chemicals Properly
Solutions such as ammonia, paint, and
oil pollute our atmosphere and oceans,
taint our water resources, kill wildlife
and harm the ozone layer. Use
chemicals wisely and be sure to
dispose containers at toxic waste sites.
3. Compost
Composting utilizes kitchen waste
in order to provide plants with the
nutrients they need to grow strong.
This reduces landfill waste as a
whole and contributes to the
natural cycle of the environment.
5. Conserve Water
Conserving water ensures that we
will avoid shortages in the future.
Consider recycling tap water for
drinking purposes, shortening your
showers and turning off the tap
instead of letting it run
unnecessarily.
