Enumerate the apps you already know and have probably tried. Explore the Padagogy Wheel

1. YouTube Application I would use an educational video presentation

from this application related to our topics so that
my students would not get bored and can watch
videos sometimes for their learning.

2. Google Application Through this application, I will explore related

topics that would help the teaching-learning of
my students and as well as me. I will find out
more was on how to deal with our topic so that
there will be more fun of our learning.

3. Zoom Application This application is useful especially in this form of

virtual classes. I would use this in a way that I can
communicate with my students like teaching
them all the lessons and greeting them everyday
on how well their lives are going so that there will
be good communication for both of us.
 4. TED Application This Technology, Entertainment, Design
Application is a useful app for all students. I
would use this through letting my students watch
videos that expounds their behavioral and
emotional aspects in life. I would use this as
discipline for them since this teaches a person on
how to think critically and can change one’s mind
and can enhance one’s skill.

5. Google Documents Application I would use this application to form enrich my

topics to be delivered for my students. In
collaboration with these, it makes my lesson to
stay more organized where I can create
documents and spreadsheets for all the topics
especially during these pandemic days we are
experiencing.

The app that I plan to utilize in the lesson is the google documents application since it can be
useful in a face-to-face or in a virtual learning environment.

2. Explain why you selected the app, based on the five criteria of developmental appropriateness,
motivation, instructional design, engagement, and accessibility.

I selected this application because it can be intended for different ages and that young or
old ones can easily see and understand documents especially if it is in the screen or in a physical
display within the classroom through a projector or in other displays. Google document is a
user-friendly application where students can actively engage and listen while I am having my
discussion since they can see it and that they are free to ask questions themselves. Another
thing is that this application supports my teaching goals because it includes different features
that allows me to import, create, edit and update documents that would catch up my students’
interests. My students can easily understand what I am going to teach them since this google
documents serves as my guidance and support in delivering my lessons that would come up
with a good learning outcome.

1. What will you consider in selecting app in delivering your lesson?

I will consider the topic and the interests of my students. First of all is the topic, because
I would use applications that would relate on my lessons to be delivered properly. Second is the
interest of my students specifically if they need an application to be used while I am delivering
the lessons for them not to get bored.

Reflect

What can I do to learn more about and practice the use of educational apps?

I would use different educational applications related to the lessons that I would deliver.
Through this, I can learn and explore new things about the different educational apps like on
how to use them and on how to apply them during the delivery of the lessons.

What I accomplished in this episode is the learning about the Pedagogy Wheel by Allan
Carrington. I have searched in the internet and learn many and different things about it especially its meaning and
usage.
