Tire Pressure Monitoring System:

A Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is an electronic pressure monitoring system that

warns you when any of the tires of your vehicle become inflated. This system monitors the

pressure inside the tires. It calculates and reports the pressure inside each of the tires of the

vehicle in real time and then reports the pressure to the driver through an external display. Tire

Pressure Monitoring Systems first appeared in the 1980s in Europe in the luxury cars of that

time. Tire Pressure Monitoring System could be provided to you by an Original Equipment

Manufacturer or you can get them form the automotive aftermarket.

Instead of relying on physical pressure, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) takes data

about the tire’s pressure from the rotational speed of the wheel along with other signals.

However, these sensors can also give information about the tire’s pressure if it is parked. Each

tire is fitted with its own individual sensors and the data is signaled to the vehicle’s on board

computer. These sensors use batteries that can be replaced. It is important to remember that in

order for them to work properly. Some Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) also use a

wireless system instead of batteries. The sensors could be mounted both on the outside and inside

of the tires. However, if they are mounted on the outside then they could be subject to

mechanical damage. Other issues with outside-mounted sensors might be aggressive fluids and

theft. Usually, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) consists of a pressure sensor, a

microcontroller and a system controller, an oscillator, an analog or digital converter, a low

frequency receiver and a battery management. Tire must be dismounted in the events of

changing battery or changing the TPMS.

Importance of Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS):

 They help us avoid thermal and mechanical overload in cases of extreme under-inflation.

 Saves the tires from getting damaged due to under-inflation.

 Saves the tires from sudden destruction.

 They can also help us save some fuel. Under-Inflated tires result in almost one percent

reduction in fuel economy.

 The most important benefit of Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) of course is that

it extends the life of the tires. Under-inflated tires can fail tires.

 Under-inflated tires can make it difficult for the vehicle to retread. TPMS can save you

form that by helping you maintain your tires properly inflated.

 Safety is another important element. Under-inflated tires can cause tread separation and

result in actions. Thousands of injuries accidents occur annually just because of tire

failures due to under-inflation. TPMS helps reduce these accidents.

 TPMS helps you maintain proper braking efficiency and handling because they are

affected by the pressure inside the tires.

 Environmental efficacy is another importance. Under-inflated tires can lead to an over-

release of carbon pollutants.

Ace Battery and Tyre Pte Ltd sells internal tire pressure monitoring system. Internal sensors

are more safe and more accurate. They work for all wheels and cannot be stolen or subjected

to mechanical damage. Ace Battery and Tyre Pte Ltd’s sensors are very easy to install. They

are the most advanced and efficient TPMS out there.
