STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Ever since I was a child, I have been constantly exposed to evolution. My family is a bit old
styled. Nonetheless, I got my first 8-bit gaming console in 6th grade. As a result, I started
playing some classic games like Mario, Islander, etc. I found those games fascinating as a
child and was curious to know how these were made. Later, when I was in 9th grade; I got
my first PC. So, I tried even more games like Vice City, San Andreas, etc., which urged me
even more to acquire knowledge about programming and things pertinent to computers.
While I am pursuing my undergraduate studies, I have learnt many, if not all, of the
programming languages that I encountered in my whole career. My constant diligence
during my undergraduate years led me to maintain my grade history with zero backlogs as
well as my desire to gain further knowledge in my chosen field. I was particularly interested
in Cyber Security: the field of Information Technology which introduced me to Linux OSand
Python programming language. I had attended many seminars and webinar related to
Python and various programming languages. Besides, I had participated in various Technical
Quizzes at State Level, in which I secured second place mostly. And my college is also
somewhat dedicated to hone students’ skills. So they regularly conduct National Level
Conference consisting of many professionals divulging their knowledge to students.
As I have high ambitions for my life, I would like to gain more knowledge about my field after
completing my UG studies. Therefore, I decided to go for PG studies for achieving a Master
of Engineering in Electrical and computer engineering(ECE) from Western University,
Canada.

After my graduate studies, I plan to pursue PhD studies in my chosen field, which I consider
would be the peak of my academic degree. All of this I consider as one prolonged academic
journey which I want to accomplish no matter what it takes. And to begin this academic
journey, I would like it to start with the chosen program at the your university.

I am very well-informed about the university’s reputation and capabilities. Thousands of

students are graduating and finding their dream jobs through the reputable institution. I
know that with the Western University’s aide, I would be able to have this huge leap. With
the advanced technology and knowledgeable staff, I would be able to fully explore and
utilize my knowledge of the 21st-century technology for my career. Most of all, I just love the
location of the university which is beneficial to all kinds of students. All of these together, I
believe that the selected university is the best avenue for fulfilling all of my geeky aspects of
life and I hope that admissions authority at the Western University will provide me the
honour of continuing my studies in the renowned institution.
