Title: Create a Small Physical Network using Computers,Network


Connecting Devices and cables.
Theory: A computer network is a group of computer systems and other computing
hardware devices that are linked together through communication channels to
facilitate communication and resource-sharing among a wide range of users

Open Start > Control Panel > Network Connections


Right-click ―Local Area Connection‖ .This connection uses the following items
select ―Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)‖ and click the ―Properties‖ button
Put a tick next to ―Use the following IP Address‖ and type in the IP and subnet mask

Computer 1:
-IP: 192.168.0.10
-Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Computer 2:
-IP: 192.168.0.11
-Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Computer 3:
-IP: 192.168.0.12
-Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Computer 4:
-IP: 192.168.0.13
-Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Type ping command on command prompt of every computer to


verify connections. C:\Documents and Settings>ping 192.168.0.10
Pinging 192.168.0.10 with 32 bytes of data:
