1 Function
This subrack has 17 positions for plug-in units and can be equipped with the necessary
units to build 6 complete first order multiplexer system. It is power-fed from the AC mains
by means of an AC/DC converter.

The subrack is equipped as follows :
DOCC: *NA
MMCC: *NA
20031010
Remarks :
in case of channel drop and insert, a slave PCM controller unit can be mounted in any
position if it is addressable by the CNCC : refer to Setting of system addresses.
an integrated line test unit ILTAUS can be mounted in any position if it is addressable
by the CNCC : refer to Setting of system addresses.
auxiliary units, if required, can be placed on any of the remaining places.
In case 1511BA with clock protection a slave PCM controller unit can be mounted:
in position 14 for multiplexer 1
in position 11 or 12 for multiplexer 2
in position 7 for multiplexer 3
in position 5 for multiplexer 4
in position 3 for multiplexer 5
in position 1 for multiplexer 6

Note The addresses can also be set by means of switches on the backpanel of the
subrack : however, this method can only be used on the following conditions :
the CNCC is mounted on the subrack;
there is no need to extend the Q1 bus to other subracks;
the other functionalities of the QEXA unit (access for synchronization clock
input or output, access for auxiliary alarm inputs) are not required.
If the address setting is realized by means of the switches on the QEXA unit, all
ATTENTION switches on the backpanel of the subrack have to be open.
Normal exploitation
4 consecutive numbers (within the same group of 8) are assigned to the subrack. Selection
is achieved by setting 5 switches in the ON position :
one switch of S301 is set to ON to select a group of 8 addresses (the other switches of
S301 and all switches of S302 are set to OFF);
the first 4 switches of S401 are set to ON if the first 4 addresses of the group have to
be used (the other switches of S401 and all switches of S402 are set to OFF);
the 4 switches of S402 are set to ON if the last 4 addresses of the group have to be
used (all switches of S401 are set to OFF).
Example : system addresses 17 to 20

Take care to select different groups by means of the switches of S301 and
ATTENTION S302.
As the switches of S302 can only select addresses below 32, it can be
TIP appropriate to select the addresses above 32 with the switches of S301.

redundant AC/DC converter in position 11/12, if provided;
address 3 belongs to the unit in position 8 (3th multiplexer : master);
address 4 belongs to the unit in position 6 (4th multiplexer : master);
address 5 belongs to the unit in position 4 (5th multiplexer : master);
address 6 belongs to the unit in position 2( 6th multiplexer : master);
address 7 belongs to the unit in position 14;
address 8 belongs to the unit in position 12;
address 9 belongs to the unit in position 7;
address 10 belongs to the unit in position 5;

address 12 belongs to the unit in position 1;
address 13 belongs to the unit in position 11;
address 14 belongs to the unit in position 10;
address 15 belongs to the unit in position 9;
address 16 is not used.
The unit in position 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 to 12 and 14 can be a Slave PCM controller or TRIB.
