How to take down notes II

1. What does your grit score mean?

Your Grit Score is the extent to which you are able to pursue your long term goals with passion
and perseverance. This Grit Assessment was developed by Dr. Angela Duckworth of the
University of Pennsylvania.

2. Is perseverance a trait why?

Perseverance is a personality trait that pushes you to overcome difficulties. Having
perseverance means that when you are facing a challenge, you use your mind and your body to
overcome it.

3. what is grit and perseverance?

Grit is passion and perseverance for long-term goals.

One way to think about grit is to consider what grit isn’t.

Grit isn’t talent. Grit isn’t luck. Grit isn’t how intensely, for the moment, you want something.

Instead, grit is about having what some researchers call an”ultimate concern”–a goal you care
about so much that it organizes and gives meaning to almost everything you do. And grit is
holding steadfast to that goal. Even when you fall down. Even when you screw up. Even when
progress toward that goal is halting or slow.

4. How do you train grit?

 Pursue your interests. Find something that fascinates you.

 Practice, practice, practice. Get a little bit better every day.
 Connect to a higher purpose. Ask yourself how you are helping other people.
 Cultivate hope.
 Surround yourself with gritty people.
