The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam,

said: “The angels invoke blessings on
any of you who remains in his prayer
place as long as he does not invalidate
his ablution, saying, ‘O Allaah, forgive
him; O Allaah, have mercy on him.’”
[Maalik, Al-Bukhari and others]

but Allah alone, He has no partner, His

and He is Able to do all things. O Allah,
there is none who can withhold what
You give, and none may give what You
have withheld; and the might of the
mighty person cannot benefit him
against You) [al-Bukhari 844]

3) Ibn az-Zubayr used to say at the end of

every Prayer when he had given the
Salutation: and he said: “Allah’s Messenger
(‫ )صلى اهلل عليه و سلم‬used to

repeat these words after every Prayer.”

(None has the right to be worshiped

but Allah alone, He has no partner, His
is the dominion and His is the praise
and He is Able to do all things. There is
no power and no might except by Allah.
None has the right to be worshiped but
Allah, and we do not worship any other
besides Him. His is grace, and His is
bounty and to Him belongs the most
excellent praise. None has the right to

be worshiped but Allah. (We are)

sincere in making our religious
devotion to Him, even though the
disbelievers may dislike it) [Muslim
594]

4) Subhan’Allah, Alhamdullilah,
Allahu’Akbar -Various ways are
authentically reported and the best way to
follow the sunnah is to alternate between
them.

(a) Saying: ‘Subhaanallaah’, ‘al-hamdu

lillaah’, and ‘Allaahu Akbar’- thirty three
times each after every Prayer.
[al-Bukhari (no. 843) and Muslim (no.
595) from a hadeeth of Abu Hurairah-
radiyallaahu `anhu]

or (b) Saying: ‘Subhaanallaah’ -thirty-

three times, ‘al-hamdu lillaah’ -thirty-
three times, and ‘Allaahu akbar’ -thirty-
four times-after every Prayer. [Reported
by Muslim (no. 596) from a hadeeth of
Ka`b ibn `Ujrah-radiyallaahu `anhu]

or (c) Saying: ‘Subhaanallaah’ -thirty-

three times, ‘al-hamdu lillaah’ -thirty-
three times, and ‘Allaahu akbar’ -thirty-
three times- and then:

ّ ّ‫ﻻ إﻟﮫَ إﻻ‬

shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-
hamdu wa Huwa a’laa kulli shay’in
Qadeer

whoever does so after every Prayer then

his sins will be forgiven even if they are like
the foam of the sea.

[Reported by Muslim (no.597) from a

hadeeth of Abu Hurairah-radiyallaahu
`anhu]

or (d) Saying: ‘Subhaanallaah’ -twenty-

[Reported by an-Nasai no. 1350) from a

hadeeth of Zayd ibn Thaabit-
radiyallaahu `anhu and declared
‘Saheeh’ by Shaikh al-Albani-
rahimahullaahu.]

or (e) Saying: ‘Subhaanallaah’ -ten

6) Recite Ayat ul-Kursi

Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of

Allah, peace and blessings be upon him,
said, “Whoever recites the verse of the
Throne (ayat al-kursi) after every
obligatory prayer, there will be nothing
standing between him and his entering
Paradise except death.”

[An-Nasa’i, ‘Amalul-Yawm wal-Laylah

(Hadith no. 100), also Ibn As-Sunni (no.

121). See also Al-Albani, Sahihul-Jami’ As-

Saghir 5/339 and Silsilatul-Ahadith As-
Sahihah 2/697 (no. 972)]

7) Recite this Dua

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbaas (‫)رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻨﮫ‬, that the

Messenger of Allaah (‫ )ﷺ‬said: “My Lord
came to me tonight in the most beautiful
form…” and in this hadeeth he said that
Allaah said, “O Muhammad! When you have
performed Salat then say:

‫ﯿﻦ‬

do good deeds and avoid evil deeds and
to love the poor. And If You will that

fi

fi

some trial should befall Your slaves,

then take me to You [i.e., cause me to
die] without having subjected to that
trial).”

[Narrated by at-Tirmidhi, 3233; al-

Albani said of this hadeeth in Saheeh al-
Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb (408), it is
saheeh li ghayrihi]

8) Seeking Forgiveness One Hundred

Times
From a man of the Ansar (‫ )رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻨﮭﻢ‬who
said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (‫)ﷺ‬
say after the Salah:

ُ ‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ ا ْﻏﻔِ ْﺮ ﻟِﻲ َوﺗُ ْﺐ َﻋﻠَ ﱠﻲ إﻧﱠ َﻚ َأ ْﻧﺖَ اﻟﺘﱠ ﱠﻮ‬
‫اب ا ْﻟ َﻐﻔُﻮ ُر‬

Allahummagh-firlee wa tub ‘alayya,

Innaka Antat-Tawwaabul-Ghafoor

(O Allah forgive me and accept my

repentance, for You are the Accepter
of repentance, the Most-Forgiving)
One hundred times.”

[Its Isnad is Sahih. Authenticated by

the Imam Al-Albani (‫ )رﺣﻤﮫ ﷲ‬in: Al-
Silsilah Al-Ahadith Al-Sahihah, 2603]
9) Recite this Dua immediately after Fajr
Prayer

Allaahumma ‘innee ‘as’aluka ‘ilman

naa ’an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan
mutaqabbalan.

(O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is

of bene t , a good provision , and deeds
that will be accepted) (Recite in Arabic
after the Fajr prayer)

[Ibn Majah and others. See Al-Albani,

Sahih Ibn Majah 1/152 and Majma’uz-
Zawd’id 10/111]

10) Recite 10 times after Magrib and Fajr

Laa ‘ilaaha ‘illallaahu wahdahu laa

(None has the right to be worshiped

but Allah alone, Who has no partner. His
is the dominion and His is the praise. He
brings life and He causes death, and He
is Able to do all things)

[At Tirmidhi no.3484 [5/515], Sahih Ibn

Hibban no. 2023, Ahmad no. 26430, also
see Saheeh at-Targheeb 472/473]

The Messenger of Allah (‫ )ﷺ‬said: [“One who guides to

something good has a reward similar to that of its doer” -
Saheeh Muslim 4665] & ['Indeed Allah, His Angels, the
inhabitants of the heavens and the earths - even the ant in his
