Mechanical design:
The control unit of the salinometer is housed in a three-part aluminium box. It is not recom-
mended that unauthorized personnel will open the box due to the risk of damaging the electron-
ics inside.
Control unit,
Article-Nr.: 336963
Electrode housing,
Article-Nr.: 616632
The electrode unit is screwed into the electrode housing. Two gold plated electrodes and two
temperature compensating elements are placed within the electrode unit in a way that they are
easily removable for maintenance and cleaning.
Electrode unit,
Article-Nr.: 336964
Electrical design:
A mains transformer supplies the rectifiers and associated filter capacitors. The electronic ele-
ments are supplied by +/- 15 V DC and +/- 12 V DC outputs. A power regulator supplies the
electronic circuit with a constant and stable 5 V DC.
To avoid electric distortion, the sensitive parts of the measuring circuit have been galvanic sepa-
rated from the rectifier and arithmetic circuits.
Control functions:
„ALARM ON/OFF“: Push button by which the alarm signals externally connected devices
can be connected to the relay.
„TEST“: When pushed, the right side LCD display should read 10.
„ALARM SET UP“: When pushed, the alarm level moves up. Internal memory secures
that the latest position of alarm dot will be stored in case of power fail-
ure during adjustment. Selected alarm level is continuously displayed
in left side LCD display.
„ALARM SET DOWN“: When pushed, the alarm level moves down.
If the salinity exceeds the upper limit (20 ppm) or (200 ppm) the
20/200 ppm dot indicates an overflow. The alarm LEDs are flashing
on alarm. Selected alarm level is continuously displayed in left side
LCD display.
