Project Title Fracture

Section 1: Rationale (Approx 100 words)

I have noticed that I don’t work too well with recording things in slow motion, as in previous projects, the
slow-motion moments feel a little out of place, and look a little choppy in the finish projects. However, I
have worked out how to effectively have different camera shots well, and good uses for certain camera
shots, and possible creating creative camera effects, as well as cutting them to the soundtracks of the
scenes. I have also learnt that the soundtracks of scenes can have a big impact on the other all mood and
feel of a scene. Foley is also a big thing in setting a scene and making a scene work well.

Section 2: Project Concept (approx 200 words)

The aim of my project is to challenge my creative skills and my recording and editing skills. The concept of
my film is having a character with almost a “second personality” in their head, caused by trauma that has
happened in their life, due to them being abused from a young age. A lot of my film, the main character
which have an hallucination of this “second personality” and they will have a conversation/argument. The
“second personality” will be wanting revenge for all the pain and abuse they have experienced in their life.
He will end up convincing the main character, who will end up killing his abuser, however this will be done
off screen, but strongly implies that he killed his abuser. I will be creating the effect of having two versions
of myself by recording myself twice, in different outfits, and having me act in a different area of the shot,
and when it comes to editing, I layer the clips, to make it seem I am there twice. I will make it clear that one
of these versions of the character isn’t real, as they will both be dressed differently, with one of the
characters dressed in a red hoodie, and the other dressed all in black.

Section 3: Evaluation Methods (approx 50 words)

I will have an evaluation page, and for the majority of this page, it will include blogs, where I will evaluate the work I
have recently done, and state what I will be doing next. The blogs will have time stamps so its clear what my
intentions were each week.

At the end of the project, I will also evaluate my work as a whole, comparing my original idea to my finished product

Project Proposal – Unit 08

Project Action Plan and Timetable

This section provides you with an opportunity to outline your planning and organisation over a period of weeks, and the activities
you will need to carry out in order to successful complete your project within the agreed time frame. It is important that you consider
how you will balance ambition, time and realism in the realisation of the project.
This should include what you are going to do, how you will do it and by when. The more time and thought you give to
planning your project, the more successful it is likely to be. Remember to include: time spent sourcing materials,
questionnaires, access to workshops, tutorial and peer group feedback, and where you will incorporate independent study
