Forest Report
We had a great time in the forest this
week! It was snowing like crazy, and it
was very cool being in the forest seeing
those huge snowflakes. We played a
game of “spring go” and noticed lots of
interesting snowy things!
Star of the Week
This week we had two stars of the week.
Finn and Peter shared the job this week
and brought in a big amethyst crystal,
bones, obsidian, and two other special
rocks.

This Week’s Focus
Reading- In reading groups this week we
worked on reading in small groups. Groups
focus on vocabulary, and comprehension.
Next week we will be doing activities
associated with this story.
Writing- We worked with a writing
continuum and learned to assess writing
based on what we noticed.
Math- This week we continued working with
coins and money!
Science- On our forest walk we played
“spring go” a bingo forest game. We noticed
due to the snow lots of animals were quiet
and plants were closed. Next week we will
make a comparison (if its not snowing).
Spelling- New words for next week.
Doggie list: fast, last, nest, must, most, step,
stamp, still. Kitty cat list: this, then, thing,
thank, bank, with, wish, think, sing, these.
