FINDING TRENDING WINNING
PRODUCTS: OVERVIEW
• A Lot of Different Opinions and Approaches
• People Tend to Overthink This Process
• People Tend to Pay a Lot of $ for Such
Unnecessary Software

• I Have Developed Several Consistent Methods

That Work:
• Items People are Buying Section on FBMP on
Mobile
• Spying on FBMP Competitors
• Finding Similar or Untapped Products
METHOD # 1: ITEMS PEOPLE ARE BUYING SECTION
(MOBILE ONLY)
• The most efficient and the easiest way to find winning items on FBMP (in my
humble opinion)
• Facebook basically does all the work for you
• Can narrow this section by sub-sections / categories (e.g. garden décor, sports &
outdoors, tools, etc.)
• Maintain & weaponize your own little database with Google Sheets to find winning
categories / sub sections or stay up-to-date with shopping trends
• Facebook also discloses item sales, item saves, literally giving you crucial information
• Discloses hot selling items (sold more than 5+ times in 7 days)
• Discloses potential hot sellers (lots of saves, but few sales)
• Opportunity to undercut the competitor with a better listing and lower price point
METHOD # 1: ITEMS PEOPLE ARE
BUYING SECTION (LIVE EXAMPLE)
• Start saving or making your own little list of items that meet such
criteria:
• “X” Sold Recently
• The higher is this number, the higher is the chance that you will score some
sales too
• Even better is the listing has a lot of likes / “thumbs up”
• Hot Item
• A very good indicator that this item is in high demand
• Lots of saves but few views
• E.g. Saved by 962 other shoppers, 76 sold. Opportunity to undercut
competitor as demand for the item is likely strong, but price might be too
high
FINDING SUPPLIERS FOR YOUR WINNING ITEMS
• Can be Most Commonly Found on eBay, Amazon,
Walmart
• Just Open 3 Tabs and Search by Item Title from FBMP
on Amazon, eBay, Walmart
• Open 4th tab, and also Use Google Shopping Search to
find Suppliers That Few Dropshippers Are Using (e.g.
Harbor Freight, Webstaurantstore, etc.). Better deals
and unique items can be found there too
• Some Dropshippers are Smart and Use Customer
Reviewed Photos from Amazon and Different
Product Titles to Make it Harder to Copy Them, and
for Buyers Not to Find the Item Elsewhere but Their
Listing
• Use Search by Image on Google function if you can
clearly see a studio quality stock photo or a product
photo with white background
FINDING SUPPLIERS FOR YOUR WINNING ITEMS –
LIVE EXAMPLE
METHOD # 2: SPYING ON COMPETITORS (WORKS THE
BEST ON MOBILE) • Use Method #1 and start making a list of people
who you believe are Dropshippers
• Easy to identify as they normally use stock photos,
photos with white backgrounds, studio quality
photos, products from all over the place and
categories
• Recommend to constantly monitor at least 5-10
people weekly or bi-weekly
• Great way to find untapped products or get
inspiration for your next winning item by seeing
what kind of items sell well for them
• Copy their listings but make sure it looks different,
better, and ideally, cheaper
• See if you can also find a better deal / supplier to
A Typical Dropshipper’s Commerce Profile – Mobile UI undercut them and still have a good profit
METHOD # 3: NO SALES,
NOT SURE WHERE TO
START (And No Access to Items People Are Buying or No Item
Sales Data in FBMP)

• The Hardest and the Most Time-Consuming way

which can pay off handsomely if you do it right
• Recommend to always maintain a Google / Excel
Sheet or Database with item sales data to get an
idea of a winning product category
Google Trends Data (Top), eBay Terapeak product research (Bottom)
• The more data you have, the more accurate you will
get with identifying a new winning item. Ideally have
at least 100+ sales
• If you don’t have any sales just yet, just use Google
Trends and this official and free eBay product
research tool
• Google Trends will help you understand the
seasonality and demand of a specific item by looking
at last 12 months and last 5 years of data (e.g. Lures)
• eBay tool will then help you then find the exact
winning item by looking at last 7 days worth of data
and sorting by # of sales
SCENARIO # 1: NO SALES YET, NOT SURE WHERE TO START (LIVE
EXAMPLE)
SCENARIO # 2: HAVE 100+ SALES AND A GOOGLE SHEET
DATABASE (LIVE EXAMPLE)
CREATING A LISTING THAT
SELLS
• Don’t be a mediocre Dropshipper with a software lister.
Your job is to stand out and list in a way so that your
buyer never knows that you are dropshipping. Put time
and efforts into your listings. Quality > Quantity:
• Images: Ensure non-blurry, square size, lifestyle images.
Use Amazon Customer Reviewed photos or supplier’s
lifestyles photos. Avoid white background photos
• Huge Bonus: Try to also use a video using Amazon Customer
Reviewed videos

• Titles: Should be SEO friendly. Mostly a copy paste from

your supplier / competitor as they already did all the hard
SEO title work for you. But feel free to add more keywords
or move words around to stand out
• Price: The lower the better. Make up for low price in higher
shipping rates. Facebook AI seems to like low prices and
pushes them more often to the top of the SERP. Also make
your own Profit Calculator (Example Calculator)
CREATING A LISTING THAT SELLS - CONTINUED
• Category: Try to pick the auto
suggested ones by the bot. This
seemingly helps the bot to display your
item in the most relevant categories. If
auto suggest makes no sense, then type
your own or select Miscellaneous.
• Description: Make it organized, unique,
clean, and easy to read. No copy/paste
using the lister. You give yourself away
to the buyer as another “scammer
Dropshipper who never delivered the
item”
• Example description that we use is
attached on the right side and in text
format in the Notes section
CREATING A LISTING THAT SELLS -
CONTINUED

• Quantity: Recommend to keep at 5 and continuously renew stock. Do not

set at 100 or 1,000+ to prevent bad situations
• E.g. Supplier is out of stock but you have 26 orders for the item vs. only 5 orders
• Variant: Tends to be very glitchy. You can try but I suggest staying away and
use variant in Commerce Manager only
• Best for multiple Colors, Sizes, etc.
• Product Tags: Add up to 20. I always do that, but I can not exactly tell if they
do any good, but some items do pop up in search when searched with #tags
• Location: Does not really matter. I usually indicate my current city
CREATING A LISTING THAT SELLS -
CONTINUED
• Delivery Method: Either Shipping Only or Shipping & Local
Pickup
• Shipping & Local Pickup is the one I use, as this can also display
your item in more buyer auctions
• If you do NOT have the Shipping option, just list random items or
make a garage sale. Most users get the Shipping option within a
few weeks, once they actively list items, sell them, and have
conversations with buyers
• Shipping Option: Use Your Own Shipping Label
• Base Shipping Rate: Can be used to make up the profit for low
item price
• E.g. Set item price at $9 and then $11 for shipping to display it
higher in the SERP vs. $20 for price with free shipping
• Allow Offers: Does not matter but you can adjust this as you
see fit, as long as you are profitable
CREATING A LISTING THAT SELLS – LIVE EXAMPLE
SUPPLIER PRICE AND STOCK
MONITORING: SKUGRID
• Use SKUGrid – a tool that monitors your supplier’s inventory
daily and sends email notifications for any supplier’s inventory
changes (affiliate link)
• Reference ID: Is your product title from FB
• Supplier Link: Is your supplier’s link for your item
• That is it. Takes literally 3 clicks
• Also good idea to keep track of COGS, Revenue, Profit with your
Google Sheet for accounting purposes and as a safe-check
• If you need to cancel an order, ask the buyer to cancel it to
avoid getting dinged. Send them this link and specify why you
want them to cancel
• More on this later in the course
MANAGING YOUR MARKETPLACE LISTINGS
A very simple process that mainly consists of 2
parts:
• 1. Renewing – helps push listings closer to the
top of the SERP. Can be done every 7 days with
a maximum of 5 times per item
• Use this link to renew listings in bulk with
Desktop
• 2. Relisting – best to do manually. The feature
can be glitchy and cause issues with low views,
photos, and incorrect shipping rates. Official
announcement here
• When relisting manually, simply find new
photos that make sense for the item. This way
you will not get flagged for “Duplicate Listing”
by FB; buyers will see new fresh content in the
SERP; and you will capture more real estate in Renewing Listings in Bulk – Link Preview on Desktop
the SERP
MANAGING LISTING
DISAPPROVALS
If your listing gets disapproved for a policy that you think makes no
sense (Here is the list of Facebook’s Commerce Policies). Follow
these steps:
1. Click the Request Review button ASAP and re-type a short
version of your item’s title to help the bot understand what it is
2. If the appeal is still denied, use this link to get dedicated
support and a manual review. Make sure to share the listing
URL and photos of your listing, and they will normally help push
it back live
1. Template text can be found in the notes section that is seen in
screenshot on the left.
3. If there is no resolution still, you can ask the Dedicated Support
(using the link above) the exact reason why the item gets
disapproved by the bot, and they can recommend how to relist
it better next time
1. Try to get as few disapprovals as you can to avoid any possible
account bans for Commerce Policy violations. Let go of the listing if
Dedicated Seller Support – Link Preview on Desktop it keeps getting disapproved
FULFILLING MARKETPLACE ORDERS

• New orders will display in the Shipping Orders tab

• Orders first go into pending state between 30 min and up to 24 hours

• You have 3 business days to ship the item

• 11:59 pm your time is the cut-off time for the order on the 3rd business day

• Make sure to maintain a Google / Excel sheet to track orders and respective
details
• E.g. Order URL, buyer address, item, COGS, revenue, profit, VA commission, etc
• Alternatively, use FBM Fox, Zeedrop, etc. that will store that information for you
FULFILLING MARKETPLACE ORDERS – COMMON
ISSUES

• Tracking number was not provided by supplier within 3 business days

from the Marketplace order date
• Your Amazon or eBay supplier provided you with a TBA, OnTrac, and
other carrier that is not supported by Marketplace

The solution is to use OAGenius – an online dropshipping software that

generates a FedEx tracking equivalent number using the city, state, and
dates criteria. Here my affiliate link if you want to try it out.
But you have to be smart and stretch out the delivery date as late
as you can, in a scenario where your actual supplier will experience
a delay in your shipment, in order to avoid negative buyer
experience & confusion
Return label examples:
QR code and classic label format

MANAGING RETURNS – STEP-BY-STEP

• Once the buyer on Marketplace asks to make a return, head to your supplier
(My Orders / Purchase History section), and open a return request
• Amazon, Walmart, eBay sellers usually provide free returns, but some suppliers
make the buyer pay for return shipping (watch out for that before you list)
• Once your supplier approved your return request, they would send you the
return label. Keep an eye out for an email or use your order confirmation
• It usually is a USPS, UPS, FedEx return label in a classic or QR code format
• Once you obtained the return label, send it to costumer via Messenger
• Customer then ships the item back to your supplier’s warehouse
• Once your supplier issued you a refund, refund your buyer, and record into
your accounting sheet

Tip: Try to resolve return requests ASAP to avoid 1-star reviews, claim
escalations to FB, etc.
HOW MARKETPLACE PAYOUTS WORK
• You'll be paid 15-20 days after you mark the item as shipped and enter a
tracking number, or 5 days after the item is delivered upon receiving
delivery confirmation (Link to Facebook Policy)
• Make sure to use valid tracking numbers to get paid 5 days after delivery
(USPS, UPS, FedEx only). If not possible, you will have to wait 15-20 days
• You are also able to get paid your PayPal account if you prefer but some
sellers have been reporting issues using PayPal.
• I personally recommend NOT using PayPal. God forbid, but if PayPal
accidentally locks your account for any weird reason, your payouts will be at
risk of being frozen
• Keep in mind that your bank account balance will be lower at first, as it
takes time to get your ROI back given the payout schedule above
• Scale gradually and do not end up with a negative balance / debt. Do not
get too greedy
HANDLING CUSTOMER SERVICE
• Most buyer messages are going to be same types of message, so make your own
response template. Common customer questions include:
• Is this still available?
• Where are you shipping from?

• Some % of buyers will also complain of items not as described or not received, etc.
• Simply respond to them ASAP, offer to arrange a free return label, and refund once
your supplier refunds (see Managing Returns section of this course)
• If you feel like you are 100% right, have delivery proof, and your item is as described,
and the buyer is scamming you – you can ask them to escalate to Facebook for final
resolution
• You can also refund the buyer immediately if they are very upset or are threatening to
report you to Facebook. It is never a good idea to have many customer reports
targeting your seller profile. This happens very very rarely though but some users
reported loosing their shipping option unexpectedly (FB told them it can happen due
to bad feedback)
MAXIMIZING PROFIT WITH
CASHBACK CREDIT CARDS
• Cash Back credit cards give a % of cash back from every purchase
(% differs per company). It is basically free money that you can
reinvest back into business or write yourself a check

• I personally use CapitalOne Spark Business and like the unlimited

2% Cash Back. This add up handsomely when you have anywhere
from 50-100+ orders daily.
• You can use my affiliate link to check out for yourself
• Good or Excellent credit score is recommended

• If you are still building your credit score, you can also try the Chase
Freedom Unlimited Credit Card
• 1.5% cash back on every purchase, 3% on dining, 5% on travel, and
more
• You can also use my other affiliate link if you are interested in trying it
out
MAXIMIZING PROFIT WITH CASHBACK
REWARD SITES

• Maximize your profit even further, in addition to cashback credit

cards, with a cashback reward website Rakuten:

• Integrated Walmart, eBay cashback shopping partner

• No longer an Amazon partner, unfortunately
• Up to 6% on Walmart
• Up to 1% on eBay
• And more

• If you are interested in trying them out, grab my affiliate link

BECOMING TAX EXEMPT

• I have not implemented this yet, as I am still in contact

with my CPA on the best strategy for this topic. Will
update course once I implement this exemption
• Certain product categories are tax exempt with a specific
state. It is a complex subject that you should carefully
review with a CPA. Have to apply in each state
• It is an opportunity to maximize profit margins
significantly if you are sales tax exempt
• Amazon has a unified exemption form, Walmart needs a
state-by-state application
• Send Email to other supplier websites to check whether
they offer such incentive
SELLER METRICS - CANCELLATION RATE
Fluid and are based on the last 90 days, update daily. %
might fluctuate slightly
• Cancellation Rate – % of orders from your total that have
been cancelled by you for any reason or by Facebook. The
most important metric that you should keep at 0% as
much as possible
• If you exceed 10% cancellation rate, FB will take your
Shipping option away for 60 days or permanently
• Link to Facebook Policy (How does shipping performance
work section)

• The only metric that you can dispute with FB (more on this
in the next slide)

Seller Performance Metrics – Mobile UI

SELLER METRICS - CANCELLATION RATE
DISPUTE PROCESS
1. Head to the Insights tab on Mobile Marketplace, under
Selling section
2. Tap “Cancellation Rate” section
3. Select applicable order that you would like to appeal
1. Make sure to screenshot the conversation with your buyer
that shows that they were unable to cancel or that shows
the reason why you are cancelling (e.g. incomplete buyer
address, buyer was unable to cancel on their end)
2. If you are out of stock and need to cancel, send the buyer
the link to cancel their FB order. If they fail to cancel on
their end, you can then mention in your appeal that the
buyer stopped responding, and send the screenshot where
you sent them the link to cancel order. Script in notes
4. You should get an update from FB regarding their
decision anywhere from 10 min and up to 24 hours
SELLER METRICS – MISSED HANDLING RATE

• Missed Handling Rate – % of orders that count against

you if you missed the 3 business days shipping deadline

• 11:59 pm deadline on the Ship by Date of the order

• This also included invalid tracking numbers such as TBA,
LaserShip, and any other carrier that is not accepted by FB
• This also includes orders that are already delivered but
were marked as shipped too late
• No punishment for this metric…yet

Seller Performance Metrics – Mobile UI

SELLER METRICS – CHARGEBACK RATE
• Chargeback Rate – % of orders that count against you
when your buyer calls the bank and disputes your order
with them and gets a refund through their bank

• Common reasons for such action from a buyer include but

are not limited to: Item not as described, item never
received, buyer is a scammer who is trying to get the item
for free
• My observation shows that you still normally end up getting
paid for chargeback orders with a personal Marketplace
profile. This is not the case with Commerce Manager, as you
are required to dispute such instances, and funds get frozen
for that specific order
• No punishment for this metric from FB, but also a good idea
to keep this metric as low as possible
Seller Performance Metrics – Mobile UI
SELLER METRICS – CLAIM ESCALATION RATE
• Claim Escalation Rate – % of orders that a buyer has
escalated to Facebook Support using the Facebook
Purchase Protection Program

• Similarly, to chargebacks, buyer would usually do that if an

item is not as described, item is never received, or buyer is
a scammer who is trying to get the item for free. Or if you
do not resolve the issue with them and ignore them
• My observation shows that buyers sometimes get the
refund and FB sides with them, even if you have enough
evidence to show that you are right. So it is still a good idea
to provide valid tracking numbers, describe items accurately
to minimize such cases and possible refunds by FB
• No punishment for this metric from FB as well, but still a
good idea to keep this metric low
Seller Performance Metrics – Mobile UI
DEALING WITH ACCOUNT SUSPENSIONS

• Happened to my accounts at least a few times during my travels, due

to using a VPN, and just randomly
• Happened randomly to a lot of people, including myself, even if you
did nothing wrong, due to an aggressive bot. Shortly after the massive
hack in April 2021
• Once this happens, you can appeal up to 2 more times using the
Request Review button before their decision becomes final
• If FB refuses to give you back access, you can try again with the Dedicated
Support agent. This has worked 100% of the time for me so far
• Review takes anywhere from 24 hours and up to a week. Takes months
for some
• Be mentally prepared to loose your revenue if FB starts cancelling orders
if their review takes too long. Make sure to follow up daily and say you
have a lot of orders to fulfill. Play on their emotions to help escalate their
review
CONCLUSION

• Dropshipping on FBMP is the easiest and the most efficient way to get
started with eCommerce and the Dropshipping model
• Of course FBMP also has a good amount of bugs, but they do get
fixed, and you still can get Dedicated Support with this link
• FBMP offers a very simple UI, a very low entry barrier, and is scalable
with a VA team
• If you are new to Dropshipping or a “Guru” looking to scale, FBMP is
an essential platform that should be considered for your Dropshipping
portfolio
BONUS #1: SETTING UP YOUR VA TEAM

• Obviously, research your VA and make sure they are

trustworthy before you hire them. I found my VA on Fiverr but
you can also find them on Upwork
• Never have VAs login into your FB profile. Instead, set up a
Google Chrome Remote Desktop, a free extension. Record your
Desktop if you have trust issues with your VA
• Having your VA login from their country, will result on your
account getting disabled for Unusual Activity or the Shipping
option will get disabled, as FB will think you’re somewhere
outside the U.S.
• Alternatively, you can set up a Virtual Machine and have them
work there without them accessing your personal bookmarks and
whatnot
BONUS #1: SETTING UP YOUR VA TEAM - CONTINUED

• If you have not done so already, create a Google Sheet that will track
your orders, new listings creation, price changes, product research,
etc
• Example Google Sheet
• Outsource busy work like in the bullet above to the VA Team and pay
them a small commission fee that you agree upon to them for a
specific project
• I am not a salary advocate, as I think commission motivates people and
does not create a ceiling for their earnings. It is a win-win really, as you
and them are both scaling and setting up for success
• Payment to international VAs can be done through Western Union
(less fees) or PayPal (higher fees)
BONUS #2: COMMERCE MANAGER SHOP ONBOARDING
BONUS #2: COMMERCE MANAGER SHOP SETUP –
VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS

• You will need:

• Address (can be personal)
• Email (can be personal)
• Category can be Miscellaneous
and Special Retail Shops
• State Taxes (can be skipped)
• Representative can be Sole
Proprietorship or Individual
• Will also need SSN or ITIN, and
DOB

• Bank Account (can be personal

checking)
