HOLIDAYS WITH CREATIVE FUN AND FROLIC
Summer time is always the best of what might be. It brings with it ever-smiling sun, scorching heat, ice-
creams, shakes and lots of fun. Summer Vacation is a time for fun and frolic and an opportunity to bring
you some constructive activities to enhance your learning process. The most awaited vacations are a little
different this time due to Coronavirus Disease. Thus, it is our responsibility to keep ourselves safe and
healthy.
Keeping in mind that learning is a joyful experience, the school this year has designed special tasks to be
completed during the vacation and learn that time is precious and moments such as these will fleet past
quickly. Go ahead and create wonderful memories. Do remember to complete the given tasks after reading
them carefully. Ensure that your work is neat, presentable, innovative and conforms to the guidelines.
Here are some more suggestions that we feel will make your vacation more enjoyable:
1. Try to take up a summer activity. Spend some time doing yoga, exercise, meditation etc. for mental
health and physical fitness.
2. Make a habit of reading books or newspapers or magazines according to your choice.
3. Minimize your screen time.
4. Perform weekend cleanliness tasks as given in the schedule below:

1. Scrapbook
a. Food is the basic requirement for our survival. But other than this we all love to eat food.
We all have our favourite dish.
Ask your elder to cook your favourite dish for you. Be present there while they are cooking. Observe
the ingredients and methods of preparation. Prepare a list of ingredients and write the steps of
preparation in your notebook. Click and paste the picture of your favourite dish also.
 Tips for writing:
i. When writing the instructions, use numbers to indicate the stages.
ii. Use proper punctuation in the sentence.
b. You’ve learnt that animals are in great danger because of human’s activities in the lesson – Tiger’s
Tale. Find out different ways you can contribute to protect animals near you. Paste a picture of a
tiger.
c. Make a web page of kinds of nouns.
2. English Practice Notebook Work
a. Write down 30 pairs of singular and plural words.
b. Learn and revise the taught syllabus of PT-1.
3. Writing Book
a. Do complete the writing book page no- 4 to 40.
4. Activity
a. Reading has been around for thousands of years and can open your mind to new ideas by making
you think in different ways. The more you read, the smarter you get! So, read a paragraph daily
from anywhere whether from your book or newspaper or story book.

d. Fill in the missing numerals such that the sum of each side of the square is 18. Remember that you
have to use numerals from 2 to 9 without repetition.

a. Draw a table of Roman Numbers to show I, V, X, L, C, D and M using matchsticks/ ear buds in
your scrapbook.
b. Write birth date of all your family members and write it in Indian system of Numeration.

1. Scrapbook Work
a. Pick up two advertisements each related to various sense organs & paste them in scrap book. Write
the name of sense organs shown in it.
2. EVS Practice Notebook Work
a. What can you do to make a visually impaired person become an important part of the society?
Share your ideas.
b. Make a table showing different methods of cooking used for following dishes.
i) Rice
ii) Parantha
iii) Cake
iv) Fish
v) Popcorn
c. Learn the taught syllabus of PT-1 and write the answers in practice notebook for better retention.
3. Activity
a. Learn to speak few lines on the topic ‘My Family’.
b. Grow any spice/ medicinal plant/ herb in a pot. You must know its health benefits, nurture it and
do share it’s health benefits with your friends or classmates.

COMPUTER
1. Make a 3D Model of any one Input device.
2. Learn and Revise Chapter-1.

1. Learn and write one thought daily in Moral Value notebook.

3. Write some ways in which you can express your faith towards God.
4. Learn Question/Answer of lesson- Smoke Signal and The Hidden Treasure.
5. Read Moral stories other than your school textbook and write the morals of five stories in Moral
Value notebook.

ART & CRAFT

1. Make a creative and beautiful art work from waste materials.
2. Make a beautiful wall hanging.
3. Cut the shape of a star and write your wish on it and decorate it. Paste the decorated star in your
drawing file.
