EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The internship report focus on the work experience I have gathered as an


intern in the sales and marketing department of Swadeshi farms from December
22, 2021 until January 22, 2022. In this report, I mainly have included my
experience at swadeshi farms especially at promotional activities, handling
customers, social media marketing etc. where I also have provided details about
my one month experience at swadeshi farms. Here I have also mentioned about
the duties and responsibilities of the marketing intern.

Typically, sales management trainees are recruited at the entry-level, where they
learn to manage sales. The trainees assist with tasks associated with sales
management. They work under the supervision of executives and managers in
business enterprises.

Marketing interns equipped with the knowledge to become managers in the


fields of sales, operations, and marketing. Among the necessary skills for this
job include management skills, problem-solving, leadership, communication
skills, attention to detail, time management, and organizational awareness.

this report

Swadeshi farms (Eatorgo LLP) is a startup company that manufactures products,


handmade and handcrafted by rural women.

“A ONE-STOP-SHOP FOR ORGANIC EATABLES, BEAUTY AND


HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS”.

The main aim of the swadeshi farms is to provide employment for the
uneducated or jobless women in villages by giving the work of manufacturing
food and other items. The start up company mainly focus on the women
empowerment.
INTRODUCTION TO THE REPORT

The sales and marketing departments in the organization are linked to each
other.While the marketing function of an organization positions itself to
establish the needs of actual and prospective customers and also the most
important task of product promotion ,the sales department engages in active
selling of the company’s products to customers.

Aspects of sales management

Sales management relates to the process of constituting a marketing


team ,coordinating sales activities and implementing sales techniques .The
basic goal of sales management is to assist business to achieve sales goals.

Customer satisfaction will assume the top position in list of key sales and
customer engagement is also the trend in sales management.

Aspects of marketing management

The marketing concept is the strategy that companies employ to increase


sales, serve customer needs ,maximize profits ,and gain upper hand over the
competition. Aspects of marketing are

 Advertising
 Customer relationship management
 Direct marketing
 Internet marketing etc

Sales and marketing trainee plays a prominent role in every company as the
growth of sales depending on the sales and marketing department, as they frame
strategies and tries to pick the sales to the great extent.

The sales and marketing trainee introduces new products to the market and
they will create awareness to the people who are awared from that by
conducting campaigns and all. Sales and marketing trainee promotes products
through various social media platforms like instagram, whatsapp, linkedin,
facebook . And also introduces new products by conducting campaigns.
OVERVIEW OF THE ORGANIZATION

Swadeshi Farms has recognized Startup form Government of Rajasthan and


recently awarded as “Most Promising Startup by Indian Achievers Forum in
Indian Achievers 2021”. Now startup is planning to expand and looking for
investors.

Swadeshi farms recently participated in the Ayush Expo & Food Festival
hosted by the national institute of Ayurveda & Ayush ministry at Jawahar kala
kendhra ,Jaipur .

swadeshi farms is an organic company that means we work to grow the


company in an eco-friendly manner. We work to benefit to society. The main
aim of the company is to provide employment for the uneducated or jobless
women and focuss on the women empowerment

Working hours

The company works on Monday to Saturday from 11:00 am to 06: 00 pm

Selling modes

The products can be sell online through their official website or people can
contact them through e-mail. The products directly available to the local
area people.

Mission

The mission is to promote Indian ayurvedic idealogy and healthy living while
focusing on price penetration so that people of all economic classes can lead
healthy life.

Products manufactured

The products that manufactured by the swadeshi farms are organic and natural
products which are healthy and safety. Some of the products are included they
are handmade food items like tasty and crunchy snacks, multigrain masala
Bites, multigrain sada bites, spices, sharbat with different flavours, chai masala ,
organic shampoo and soaps, herbal oils etc.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE

 To develop good communication skills and interpersonal skills.


 To create awareness about the products to the public I have
gained much like interacting of different people based on their
ages.
 To attract new customers.
 To deal with the different age group people we will come to know
their tastes, preferences and attitudes.
 To Fulfill tasks set by our supervisors from several departments.
 To develop work habits and attitudes necessary for job success.
 To produce goods and services otherwise it cannot survive in this
competitive market.
 To increase positive product reviews.
 To improve the Interns communication and interpersonal skills
training sessions has conducted.
 To maintain ethical and professional behavior while dealing with
customers.
 To gain much knowledge about promoting the products and
placing the orders.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Roles and responsibilities of sales and marketing trainee:

As a trainee in marketing, a person has to acquire knowledge on the business


marketing of an organization in which he or she is working by assisting in
corporate marketing related projects. After that he or she would be placed as
part of field sales marketing and brand building which are very important for a
particular organization to survive in the market.

 Acquiring basic knowledge on the various techniques associated with


advertising of the firm.

 Support the marketing team in daily administrative task.

 Using the proper strategies for maximum benefit, this knowledge can be
acquired during the training period provided the trainee completes this
period with maximum effort.

 Attend meetings and take minutes.

 Undertaking marketing research so that consumers can be targeted


easily, this should be done by understanding the requirements of the
customers and fulfilling them properly

 Analyzing the customer’s demographic details in addition to forming


marketing strategies accordingly.

 Making a list of resellers who are targeted along with being properly
connected with them business works.
Tasks that I have performed for the entire period of internship

Internship period (22nd dec 2021 - 22nd jan2022)

1st week of internship:

During the first week of internship a training session is conducted by the


concerned organization and they trained us how to promote products through
social media sites like Instagram, Whatsapp, Facebook, Youtube to pitch the
sales.

And also they have trained about the uses of hashtags (#) and how to use it.

2nd week of internship:

In this second week of internship we came to know the products that the
company offered to promote and sell. Their uses and also benefits and how to
place an order through e-mail. Responses from the clients had received. In this
week I taught how to handle customers and clarifying their about the products.

3rd week of internship:

During the third week of internship I have promoted the product through
various social media platforms like Instagram,
Facebook, Linkedin, Youtube, Whatsapp status etc.

I took support of some popular Instagram and Facebook pages for product
promotions. This helps me a lot because most of the people know about this
products.

The company is offering organic eatables, and beauty care products. I have
promoted Beauty care products like soaps, face packs etc.

In this 3rd week of my internship program I have successfully placed an


order regarding Soap combo consist of alovera, neem and charcoal soaps.

Meet was conducted by the Hr, in every meet they ask about the work progress
and they clarifies intern’s doubts and provide knowledge about our work
4 th week of internship

During the last week of internship, I have promoted the products through
various social media platforms.

In this week. I have promoted the organic eatables and herbal products like hair
oil, chawanprash, chilli powder, dhaniya powder etc.

I have successfully placed my second order regarding alovera coconut hair oil.
CONCLUSION

As a sales and marketing trainee I have learnt many things about the marketing
to pitch the sales to a great extent in this throughout internship program.

Learned how to interact with different customers, based on their demographic


and geographic boundaries.

 Improved communication skills


 Learned how to convenience the customers
 Interpersonal skills
 Strategic decision making
 Order placing through email (online mode )

Thus , these are all the activities I have done throughout the period of my
internship in Swadeshi farms ( eatorgo llp )
