Introduction to the Essence of Computer Literacy

So the lesson is all about the essence of computer literacy. The speaker discusses the definition
of computer literacy, it is defined as the knowledge and ability to use computers and related technology
efficiently. It talks about the aspects of computer literacy which is divided into subgroups. The
fundamentals, intermediate and advanced element. Fundamentals is the purpose of using computer and
how to operate its basics such as operating systems. Another aspect is the intermediate element its more
on the software of the computer. You can also directly manipulate the system for example researching or
gathering data. The other aspect is the advance element the coverage of this element is more on
programming the computer of how you can help other people not just yourself or you can create another
data on the computer.
To sum it all up, the importance of computer literacy is on earning a living if you know how to use
computer or literate in using it you can earn from it. Another is, improve your professional growth nowadays
technology is used globally so as a professional we should about how to use a computer so that if were on
the working class it will be easier for us to get the job done. Through computer we communicate in with our
family, friends and etc.
