Sub: Request for conducting Online examination for the Sixth Semester LLB (H)
Respected Madam,
We the regular students of VIth semester LLB(H) are deeply concerned about our future
prospects ever since the University notification of offline examination was published. This was
the first semester after the reopening of the college in the post covid era that the classes were
held in the offline mode. We could only afford a three-month long semester in this academic
session which was insufficient to finish off the vast syllabus. Most of us including the teachers
had to adjust to the old mode of teaching after a long while. This consumed a lot of time and
we failed to complete our syllabus in the meagre time of three months. Also, since most of us
are outstation candidates who would previously commute daily were hindered from doing so
due to the rise in the fuel prices and subsequent hike of transport charges. As a result of which
many of us missed out on days that were actually important from the perspective of the
syllabus. In order to appear for the semester exams, we have very little time on our hands to
prepare. Moreover, if the exams are held in the offline mode most of us would have to rent out
accommodation near the examination center. The property values in that area are quite high
and renting out a room for a month would put additional financial burden on us. This is quite
disconcerting considering the fact that it is the final semester and most of us are doing our
internships with the professionals. A blemish in our final semester examinations will dent our
confidence and tarnish our professional career along with inflicting immense mental pressure.
As a result, an online mode of examination will help us maintain the good track record that is
quintessential to a professional career like this and will help ensure that we have the same
tactical advantage as our peers who are appearing for online mode of examination. The
Burdwan University, West Bengal State University, NIT Durgapur has recognized the crisis
and have already decided to conduct online examination for it's even semester.
We the students of Kazi Nazrul University presented our issues before the Universtiy
authorities regarding the offline examination notice released by the University and demanded
that the examination be held in the online mode. After a long discussion with the authorities,
it was instructed to us that the principal of all such concerned Institutions under KNU be
approached by their respective students and an application stating the same should be
submitted to him/her. We thus humbly request you to consider the situation and put forward
our plea to the University.

Sincerely,
VIth Semester Students
