Aim: Draw and print 2D simple geometry.

Step 1: After opening the Solid Works software, a welcome window will be
appeared. In this window you will see three environment options part, assembly
and drawing. For this drawing we will select first option which is part. This
option is 3D representation of single design component.
Step 2: After selecting first option, part environment (blank white space) will
start. Then we will click on sketch button.
Step 3: After clicking on sketch button we will select front plane. Front plane is
the area where the simple geometry will be sketched.

Step 4: Using line command sketch the outline of the simple geometry. The
picture is the outline of simple geometry.
Step 5: After sketching the outline, dimension the geometry using smart
dimension option.

Step 6: Curve the inside edges using fillet option.

Step 7: After curving the edges and giving dimensions, the sketch is completed.
