Scaffold:: Colagen in Wound Healing
Scaffold:: Colagen in Wound Healing
Scaffold structure is a novel carrier for cell and drug delivery that enhances wound healing
through differentiation of endothelial and epithelial cells and production of angiogenic
growth factors in cutaneous wounds.
NATURAL PROCES:
STAGES TO HEAL:
Chronic heal formation
Inflammatory
Proliferative
Electrospinning method:
The electrospinning method is used to generate a nonwoven web of micro- or nanofibers. In
this method, high voltage electricity is applied to the liquid solution and a collector, which
lets the solution extrude from a nozzle forming a jet. The jet formed fibers during drying and
deposited these on the collector.
It is a promising method for the rapid and cost-effective production of nanofibers from a
wide variety of polymers given the high surface area morphology of these nanofibers, they
make excellent wound dressings, and so have significant potential in the prevention and
treatment of scars.
