 ABSTRACT

Gas leakages results a serious problem in household and other areas where

household gas is used, therefore the proposed gas leakage detection and monitoring

system is developed. There are many methods available for booking a Gas Refill,

methods include online booking, telephonic booking etc. It will be difficult situation

for the one who uses LPG gas for cooking regularly. Due to the toxic gases released

from industries and other areas leads to major accident and causes death. The main

objective of this paper is designing an Arduino based toxic and hazardous gas

leakage detection, alerting and protecting system. This paper is based on detecting

toxic gas leakage and emission of various other hazardous gases in order to indicate

an alarm and protect men and materials. This paper aims at alerting the people once

there is a gas leak, using Arduino based system.

 INTRODUCTION
The usage of the gas brings great problems in the domestic as well as working places. The

inflammable gas such as

Liquidized petroleum gas (LPG), is excessively used in the house and at workplaces. The leakage of

the gas causes a destructible impact on the lives and as well as to the heritage of the people. So, by

keeping it in the concept of the project we have determined to develop an examining system that

finds the gas leakage and protects the workplaces by taking correct precautions at the correct time.

This system provides information such as when gas leakage is noticed, sensors present in the

system are used to notice the gas leakage and immediately turn ON the buzzer for the danger

indication. The buzzer is used for clear indications of gas leakage. By the detection of the hazardous

gas, the alerting message reached the respective person who has control over it from the GSM.

Detection of the gas leakage is important and halting leakage is important equally. The main

objective of this project is that it is extremely accurate with the least cost, this system is best to

detect gas leakage and also warn people around by a buzzer beep sound.

Gas leakage leads to severe accidents resulting in material losses and human injuries.
Gas leakage occurs mainly due to poor maintenance of equipment and inadequate
awareness of the people. Hence, LPG leakage detection is essential to prevent accidents

and save human lives. This paper presented LPG as leakage detection and alert system.

This system triggers LED and buzzers to alert people when LPG leakage is detected. This

system is very simple yet reliable. The project entitled “LPG Leakage Detector using

Arduino with Sound Alarm”, will be a great help in terms of preventing any danger

caused by gas leakage. The purpose of this project is to detect the presence of LPG

leakage as a part of a safety system.

The main objective of the project is to build a gas LPG leakage detector using an LPG gas

sensor and micro-controller. It developed a security system by providing an early Warning

System to give a sign if there is a smell of gas around the Home.
