This document provides instructions for removing and installing a Weistec 722.9 valve body on a transmission. The key steps are:

Valve Body Removal and tip the pan toward the rear to drain 0. Disconnect the trans remaining oil. connector from the trans!! 1. Drain Transmission Fluid using a 6mm socket 1.5. Pop out fill-level tube 2. Remove Transmission Pan using an E10 bit. Keep pan level as it will still to drain more completely. have fluid in it. Once it has been removed, dump fluid into proper container and discard original Transmission Pan Gasket -New aluminum bolts reqd. 3. Remove Transmission Oil Filter by gently pulling it off of the valve body. Discard used Transmission Oil Filter 4. Remove Valve Body Bolts using a T30 bit and extend gear selector linkage towards rear of transmission -10 bolts total, 4 at front, 6 at rear No point! -the gear selector appears to be grooved to allow removal (when in park!) When removing bolts, loosen the two -You may have to slide bolts indicated in blue (one at the front and maneuver around to and one at the back) but leave them clear things on removal. 6. Properly Package Valve Body to prevent damage from shipment
7. Ship Valve Body to Weistec Engineering for modification

1. Lubricate O-Rings on Valve Body Harness Connection
2. Gently press Valve Body into place
3. Make sure Shift Linkage Pin is properly inserted into Plastic Linkage

5. Press on New Transmission Oil Filter
6. Affix New Transmission Pan Gasket 7. Bolt on Transmission Pan using an E10 bit 8. Fill transmission with new fluid using proper Mercedes procedure. Expect to use 5 to 6 liters of fluid.
